Perfect room

Well stayed 1/24/25. Let's just say things have gotten worse. The check in guy had zero in the personal department. Got to the room typically for a TownePlace Suits. The dead bolt latch did not work, the coffee pot was dirty stove top the same and the top of the fridge had not been dusty in who knows. Bed a quiet hotel. Breakfast in the morning left a lot to be desired. Bacon was like leather, guessing it had been re-heated a few times. Fruit was old all items we just like we have to do that so here. Overall I may not stay again with so many options in town but I like to earn points.

Google search showed this hotel as two $ out of four meaning a mid range hotel. No one told me the rate but I was charged $400 for one night. While I am at fault for not asking the rate, let’s get one thing straight, this is garden city KS, not London, not New York. This is in absolute no way a $400 a night hotel, and for them to charge that rate when they are in fact a mid range hotel is fraudulent.

Awful hotel. Room was filthy and smelled of sewage. Parking lot reeked of manure. We had reserved a king size room but were "upgraded" to 2 queens, which they did without asking or even telling us that we were getting worse bed. And it kept getting worse. Furniture was extremely dated and worn. And dirty. Which was theme, as there were dirt and stains throughout room. It's as if they knew hotel was terrible because they never even sent follow-up survey.

The hotel is the cleanest that we have stayed in the US. The cleaning ladies are very accommodating and warm everytime we greet them. We only got the name of Lorie who is very kind but we appreciate the whole team. We appreciate Sylvia for being kind and cheerful everytime we greet her and ask questions. The boys during the weekend are also good except for the big one. It is just disappointing that after a long stay we have not had a good rapport and communication with the manager, supervisor, and lady who prepares the breakfast. This is in comparison to other Marriottt hotels we stayed. But overall what is important is the hotel is clean and comfortable to stay. Kudos to the cleaning team, Lorie and Sylvia.
