西方飯店(The Western Hotel)

The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. The hotel is located in perfect location. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown Galway.

Nice rooms and service.

A great place to stay if you are a tourist. We drove in from Dublin and were thankful the hotel had a garage. Our room was spacious for a family of three. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is in a great location and it's an easy walk to the main square and shops. The hotel has a nice bar and we stopped by for a drink. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay.

The staff were friendly and informative. The room was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the food, both breakfast and dinner! We were fortunate enough to hear some local musicians play, as well as some tourists whom they allowed to play with them! The hotel is walkable to both shopping areas, although we only went down through to Quay Street. All around, we had a great experience here, it is definitely worth a stay!

TERRIBLE property. Western Hotel is tired and dirty considering the price.Room hot and stuffy. No air conditioning so were told they'd give fan which was tiny plastic desk fan. Toilet didn't flush. Limited staff in restaurant, had to ask passing waiter if we could sit in nearly empty dining room and were told to wait. Waited over 10 minutes for help. Reception wouldn't answer phone. In person, he was indifferent. Water pressure in shower very low. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. GROSS.

I was traveling solo in Galway and this is a great location to walk to Eyre square, Latin quarter, and Spanish Arch. It seemed like a safe and clean area. The parking is around the back of the hotel. Get there early or you’ll need to double park. It’s a pretty small garage by American standards but likely the norm I. Ireland:). The staff were lovely! Allowed me to check in early and allowed me to leave my car in the parkade after check out as I was on a day guided tour. The hotel is not modern and has stairs within where you have to carry your luggage a few steps at a time to get to your room; but it has all the necessities for a quick stay in beautiful Galway!

The hotel location is excellent and the staff are very hospitable and helpful. The room was extremely small, however. The images on the listing are a bit misleading. There was, in fact, no space for opening our luggage, except on the bed. Other than that, the hotel was nice.

Clean, quiet room. Good location and the staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe be cautious in the shower because ours had wild temperature swings and could maybe burn you.

The quad room was a perfect option with a large double and two twin beds with lots of space to move around.
