This is an older 50’s era one story motel. While it looks kind of drab from the outside, rooms were clean and recently remodeled. Towels looked new. There is no coffee in the room or office. I couldn’t get the tv to work, but there is strong internet, so I watched Netflix and Roku on my device which I prefer anyway. Breakfast bags are available in the morning consisting of Raisin Bran cereal, raisin bread, and milk. Rates are reasonable and staff polite. I was only looking for some evening rest while going through town on my way to California, and this served my purpose.
Had an ADA room with a walk-in shower with a seat in it. They also have a chair in the bathroom that someone else could use if you need help in the shower. Great item and never had one before, always had my wife stand when she helped me. Rest of room was very large with TV and heat & A/C working well. TV is DirectTV. The only bad thing was the bed being too high, had a hard time getting into it but the bed was comfortable once I did. Also had a couch in room. Overall, a great room. Room was 127
RRoam17310346644We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with sofa bed. Room is spacious and clean. I’ll address the obvious first. Gallup has a reputation for its high crime. This hotel is located on the east end of town away from homes and most businesses. There are 4 other hotels nearby plus a Dennys, bbq place and gas station. The location felt safe, security was not super obvious but they were patrolling. From my 3rd floor view I saw many pick up trucks with toolboxes and other items in the bed. 2 cars parked next to us had bikes in a bike rack. A few people had trailers with items strapped down. All in all it looked like a bunch of people doing what we were doing, just passing through. This hotel also only has 2 exterior doors you can access from the outside, the front lobby and one other door. All other exterior doors are locked from the outside. There is no where in America that is inherently safe, this place is no worse than anywhere else. Hot water was another frequent complaint about this hotel from others. We had 5 people and we all had hot water. Maybe it was a problem they fixed. I’m actually surprised at how low this hotel ranks on TA. I would absolutely stay there again.
Stayed here one night on the way to Colorado. (in an isolated section of Gallup) The lobby gave a good first impression, but then after hauling our luggage up the stairs, we saw the room. Thank goodness the bed (for me) was decent, because the room was dated and very run down. Water seemed dirty initially out of the tap. One lamp shade was torn. Breakfast was simple. Pancake machine was a plus. I'd look for other hotels.
Very nice check-in manager. Large room with newer laminate flooring so no musty carpet smell. Everything clean and as described, fridge with little freezer works well. The trains at night are cool but not too loud. My wife and I felt good about supporting this business. Recommended.
This is an old motel , ice machine not working , but they did give you a sandwich size bag of ice which wasn’t much . Room not very clean ,but not too dirty. Rv parking not great .Not any restaurants within walking distance. I have stayed he in the past when I needed a quick night’s stay.
