We liked that the property is conveniently located close to the downtown area. It is a beautiful old house turned into a B&B. The only downside was that we had a heck of a time trying to find a thermostat to control the air in the room (the Camellia Room). When I called maintenance they informed me the thermostat was in the Business Center right outside of the room. The problem with this is that there is a sign saying you can use the Business Center "anytime". Even though it didn't happen that means someone could be outside of Room 10 (Camellia Room) at any time of the day or night. They need to post hours so whoever is in Room 10 can get some sleep during the night if push comes to shove. Like I said, it didn't happen, but the potential is there.

Staff was friendly, check-in was very simple and the communication was very good. The bed was comfortable. Our reason for an average rating would be the quality of the breakfast and we also had issues with our TV in the room until I tried several troubleshooting things. We would likely try something else the next time we are in Gainesville, but would still recommend this place to anyone if the location/price is right and the things mentioned above are inconsequential.

Comfotanle and convenient
We enjoyed our stay. I was pleased with overall everything and the king bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed that there was no ice when we needed some. I would suggest having a larger ice maker. There was a very tiny ice machine in main room for all the guests, but was always empty. I would also suggest having votive candles on the fireplace mantels that worked. The 2 in our room had dead batteries in them. Overall it was a beautiful home and we enjoyed very much our two nights there. We had one very small maintenance issue, but we made a phone call to the number provided and someone showed up promptly and took care of the problem. He was a very nice young man. I would go again and do recommend this property!!

Bijzondere plek in Gainesville, veel leuker dan de standaard hotels. Aan alles werd veel aandacht besteed. Leuk om te zitten op de veranda. De kamer zelf (boven) was wat eigenaardig. De hele entourage vond ik wel erg leuk.

Ein sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus. Gemütlich und sehr sauber, Parkmöglichkeit kostenlos direkt vorm Haus. Ruhige Lage. Sitzmöglichkeiten auf der Veranda. Kostenlos Wasser zum Trinken.
Das Frühstück ist typisch amerikanisch.

We enjoyed our stay. It's a lovely property and the room was very nice. The only downside is that there was not anyone on site to welcome or greet us upon arrival for the little snafus that come up with traveling. It felt more like an AIR B& B that served breakfast rather than a Bed and Breakfast/Inn feel. I did not like that we did not get an access code until a few hours before check in (not as promised 24 hours in advance) and we were arriving by plane late that evening...made for an anxious travel experience. And when we arrived the toilet wasn't working so we had to call the emergency maintenance. They were very responsive, but it was not what I expected in terms of staying at a quaint inn.

I absolutely loved staying here. Mike and Jacqueline are so kind and accommodating. Mike made delicious breakfasts each morning and gave us great recommendations around the area. The anticipation room was extremely comfortable and the tub in the bathroom was wonderful to soak in after a long drive. It was also cold when we came so having the fire place was a nice bonus as well. I would absolutely stay here again😊 10/10

The house was well-kept and charming. Easy access and convenient to the University. We stayed in the Anticipation Room, which was comfortable and perfect for our stay.
