Ma Maison Saiko is situated in a wonderfully quiet, serene, and cool area. The interior is very cozy, featuring a lot of unique antique furniture, and the course-by-course Western set meals for dinner and breakfast were a highlight.
On the downside, our room was smaller than anticipated. We offered to pay for an upgrade, but were turned down and told the hotel was full—even though booking apps showed rooms were still available. Also, note that there is no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up to the second floor. A better room would have vastly improved our comfort and enjoyment, so the experience ended up being a bit of a mixed bag.
