燈塔角大露卡楊飯店(Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan Resort)

I want to be clear, i did not stay overnight here, i only did the day-pass for the resort. The two employees who greeted me as i walked in, super nice. Just know you won't get an explaianation of anything as to where things are. But, you can take 90 seconds to read signs and figure it out. This place was perfect for the day. Beautiful pool with lounge chairs, private beach with lounge chairs, and a drink bar you can go to if you want. You get a towel at the towel hut, which is missing a letter in it, and just ask for a towel. I wish i got there earlier and stayed longer, was well worth it.

Une merveille ,passé une super belle semaine ,tout était parfais , Le personnel très gentil chambre très propre la bouffe excellente et la plage sublime Site très tranquille ,pas de spectacle ,pas d’animation à la piscine ou à la plage la vrai vie vous voulez être tranquille et bien vous reposé ces la place . Seul bémol l’air climatisé au lobby trop froid donc pas allé prendre un apéro pour regardé le piano man

Endroit vraiment décevant, toujours le même buffet, manque sérieusement de choix, un bar à la piscine qui ferme à 17h et l'autre au lobby excessivement froid dû à l'air climatisé qui ouvre 17h. Ma chambre sentais l'humidité, la piscine et la mer glaciale. Du côté du personnel, magnifique très sympathique. Donc pour moi dans ma «check list» c'est fait et je n'y retournerais pas. Chantal

The staff were all very friendly and worked hard to insure a good experience. The breakfast buffet was varied each day and had many excellent food choices, all of which were were delicious. The fitness center and spa were clean and spacious and more like a private club than a hotel workout room. The beach was beautiful, and the infinity pool and spa are nice.

Nous y avons séjourné quelques nuits lors de nos dernières vacances. La chambre est spacieuse mais malheureusement notre séjour a mal commencé car la réception nous a fait poiroter environ 30min pour des problèmes de paperasses qui ne nous concernaient pas (réservé avec une agence de voyage) et une fois enfin arrivé dans la chambre le safe ne fonctionnait pas ! Nous avons attendu un long moment que quelqu’un vienne et la réception nous a demandé de rester dans la chambre pour accueillir la personne (bizarre comme façon de faire) bref nous avons donc perdu pas mal de temps 🥺 la nourriture est assez bonne mais c’est assez répétitif et aucun restaurant à la carte, uniquement buffet et besoin de signer des tickets à chaque prise de boisson ou repas ce qui est assez embêtant pour un hôtel all inclusive….

Pros: - Calm and beautiful beach of white sand / crystal water. No rocks, no corals or see ****s. Perfect beach when sunny and not windy day. - Beautiful pools / outdoor setup (see cons) - Entertainment staff is great around the pool / beach. Drinks are good and taste alcohol - Available and free paddle board and kayaks on the beach. Nobody never let us know, we had to figure out and ask. - Gym is great. Cons: -Overall service is disappointing. Maybe we compare too much with Cuba and Mexico but we do not feel as welcome as other resorts we have visited. Is this only at the Lighthouse or all Bahamas? We do not know. Rarely someone will come to you to ask and make sure you are ok. When you go to the bar, make sure you have plenty of time in front of you. - Food / Buffet are not as good as expected which a big disappoin**ent. No « à la carte» restaurant which we knew but because buffet aren’t as great as expected, then it’s a major downside. We even had to leave the buffet on a Saturday night to go to the Italian restaurant on the market across the street. Name of the restaurant: Cappuccino which we highly recommend. - December 2023, resort is almost empty despite the high seasons for holidays. - Pool - We haven’t seen anyone taking care of pool / SPA during the day other than early morning. Lots of cleaning required. - Rooms are disappointing. Paying for «delux » mean ocean view (which is great and recommended) but the room itself is very basic and need lots of care and inves**ent. - Refrigerator is empty in room. - ACTIVITY - List of activities on the website aren’t up to date. Meaning that lots the are advertised aren’t longer available. E.G.: Game room, Water sport facilities on site Additional charge. - ACTIVITY - Pig tour : tourists trap. Nothing the same as the pictures you can find on internet. Beach where you are for 3 hours isn’t maintained. - Sometimes, non consistently, the staff at the buffet bring a check at 0$ to make sure they will get tip. - No store onsite to get sun cream, playing cards, … you have to go outside. The market is just on the other side of the street but when it’s pouring rain, a minimum onsite would have been appreciated. - Coffee… no real tasty coffee available at the resort. At the market on the other side of the street, you can thankfully found good one.

I just called the guest service after our light fixtures in the bathroom started pouring water like a shower head with the light on, I turnedthe light off and call them. No one came. Called a second time and they told us to go to the lobby to talk about it. Good thing I made a video. Too bad I can only post pictures here.

AC out for hours. Dehumidifier in room that WE had to empty. Marginally clean. So much of property not maintained. Market across from hotel half abandoned.

It is a nice resort and the staff were very friendly. It was actually 2022 when we went there. Reason for a 3 rating is because the menu was small and the buffet was very repetitive. We were there for 24 days so only having 5 items to choose from got old fast. The resort and rooms were kept clean, the gym was good. Would have been nice if all food establishments were open. They had a pizza shop next to the buffet but it was never open. The beach was very nice and they kept it clean and groomed. The lunch bar was good and the portion sizes were a good size. Big let down is that over half of the resort is shut down because of damage. There’s not much to do there. The market was ok but you were through it in about 15 mins. There are bars and restaurants in the market so when you get bored of the food at the resort it was a nice treat to eat there.
