泰諾海灘馬林度假村暨俱樂部(The Marlin at Taino Beach Resort)

L'administration du resort se plait a chargé des frais exorbitants sur tout !!!... Mon séjour de quatre semaines on m'a chargé des frais de toutes sortes totalisant $ 1 100. US soit $ 1 540.00 CAN . $ 145.00 US par semaine pour un service très rudimentaire de renouvellement de la literie et des serviettes , $ 360.00 US pour ??? ,$ 100.00 US pour le coffre-fort , $ 20.00 US pour les serviettes de plage , $ 40.00 US pour déplacements ??? en fait tout est motif pour chargé des frais exorbitants !!!...

el Wifi no llega a las habitaciones...hoy en día increíble. La sala común para trabajar es un cuarto con una mesa y una silla, ya está. El gimnasio ha visto sus mejores momentos hace años. Lo peor: la habitación huele muy mal, incluso mi maleta y ropa huele tan mal ahora, que al cambiar de hotel, tenía que lavar todo. La cama muy incómoda, se nota cada muelle.

Un site qui a besoin d'amour. Seulement la piscine qui est magnifique avec son bar dans une grotte sinon un endroit qui est triste. Personnel irrespectueux

This Resort has a nice but small private beachfront that is "generally" for guest only. I enjoyed Freeport's rural feel. We started our stay in Rm 5410, a top floor 1 bedroom with a view of the ocean. After the 2nd night we were forced to relocate due to Bug BItes from something in the bedding. The bites, more than 50 were localized to my lower legs, and had all of the signs of Bed Bugs, but the staff were insistent that Pest Control did not indicate this... This first room, while antiquated and somewhat worn with very outdated and some appliances that were InOp (Microwave), was at least on the top floor with a great view of the pool and the sunrise. Unfortunately, do to the infestation, we were moved to a lower level Studio Room of lesser quality, and next to two of the most unruly families I have ever experienced. Apparently they were related and had children running back and forth banging on the doors at late hours of the night. Security was called several times but was of very little help. The Guest Services manager was of very little help, and several times avoided follow-on calls from us, like when my wife's sandal were missing. We were relocated a 3rd time due to issues with the room and the unruly family nearby, but only on the day they checked out. This was supposed to be a very relaxing vacation, the location and the beach just feet away... top floor view on the sunrise, etc. etc. etc. That was all taken away one issue after another. Irony - the resort conducted the typical sales pitch for a unit on the morning of our 2nd day ranting and raving on their Resort. This turned out to be the Resort from ... you know where! I absolutely intend to share this review with more detail to the Ministry of Tourism for the Bahamas. I heard so many times while there how their tourism and hospitality is there number one priority, well I want to see because it was certainly not shown during my stay at this Resort. Note: The local people and other services (Valentine Lewis Transportation Services & Forbes Charter Services) were exceptional.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Tanio Beach Resort. We were in the Marlin building, which is very nice. We saw the Coral rooms and they are somewhat odd although we would stay there when we come back. The pool is great for a resort this size with the slide for active kids and a 1 1/2 ‘deep wading pool for young kids. There are also many quiet places for adults and couples. The beach is amazing and every Bahamian we met was friendly and warm. The resort stay gives you access to a ferry that is only 100 yards away that takes you 10 minutes up the canal to Port Lucaya where there are two straw markets and numerous shops. The spa at the resort is excellent, both my wife and I had great massages. Also, at the pier are more than a dozen restaurants and bars with options for all. Some of the groceries were somewhat more expensive but overall, we were very pleased with the cost of everything we needed. We loved how safe we felt and plan to return next year. Deadman’s reef at the National park was amazing to swim in nature with the turtles and stingrays and the snorkeling was some of the best we have ever enjoyed where you just walk in from the beach.

We didn’t stay at the resort overnight but the pool bar was amazing! Bucket was the man . He took care of us and treated us amazingly and gave us beautiful words of wisdom as we were on our honeymoon! The pool was beautiful also and large enough so that people weren’t swimming into one another

My wife and I, as best we can remember, have been here 12 times in the past 17 years. There's a reason we keep coming back... This resort offers EXACTLY what we're looking for...RELAXATION! We don't need to be entertained, even though Steve does a great job at that! We don't need to be pampered. We don't need late-night drinks or loud music all night. We don't need hundreds of fancy places to eat. This place is PERFECT for what we need...a BEAUTIFUL pool and QUIET, PEACEFUL beach.

The resort is really nice because of what it has to offer - large pool with slide and bar (accessible from central island lounge area or swim up to, on-site restaurant with good selections for breakfast and lunch/dinner with reasonable prices, peaceful grounds with beach, plenty of lounge areas, and external game areas (ping-pong, volleyball (land or pool), and shuffleboard. Would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, peaceful vacation stay!

PROS: Beautiful grounds, swimming pool and a gorgeous beach. CONS: The units are outdated and have not been updated. The kitchen was lacking the essentials,. a kettle, coffee filters, pots and pans (one frying pan and one pot), no oven. I requested a kettle but was told there wasn't one available. No wifi in the rooms, only outside or in the main lobby. The room was painted bubblegum pink and remind me of the Flinstones house. Housekeeping services where minimal, and not very thorough. Would not recommend this resort
