The property itself is clean and comfortable. However, we were treated badly because (as per the manager's Nicole's own words), we are NOT HHonors members.
I booked a 1-bedroom suite at this location. However, on the day I checked in, I was told that there is no 1 bedroom available and they downgraded me to a studio suite. To make it even more unacceptable, the hotel refuses to provide any refund for the difference.
The manager Nicole said that they had to provide my 1bedroom to a HHonors member, so she felt "terrible" I could not get the room I reserved, however she is not going to provide any refund of the difference in price because she said it's not her responsibility and I should talk to ********** who will handle the refund.
I then contacted **********, and the agent contacted Nicole. Here is were all the lies started. She "claimed" to ********** that the 1bedroom was only unavailable on my 1st day, and it was available on the 2nd day onwards and I could have requested to move back to my reserved room. And when I reached out to the hotel to ask for getting back what I reserved, the hotel then changes tack, saying that there is no 1 bedroom availability at 11am and I needed to wait (they only contacted me at close to 5pm that day)
Finally, I gave up, asked ********** to kindly refund me a coupon for the difference in price, and just stayed in the studio suite
Won't stay here ever again, and the hotel should consider replacing Nicole, who has not been honest throughout
