Bewertung nur für Restaurant der gehobenen Preisklasse. Personal freundlich, jedoch hektisch und völlig überfordert. Garderobenhilfe nur für eine Person. Sitzplätze im "Wintergarten": hohe Geräuschkulisse. "Warmes "Selters". Bei Bestellung Vorspeisensalat nicht aufgeklärt, dass alternative Dressings zur Auswahl stehen. Zur Vorspeise auf Anfrage Brot und Butter bestellt - vom Service jedoch vergessen. Hauptgerichte versuchte der Service zweimal auf den Tisch zu bringen. Dies war nicht möglich, weil Vorspeisengedecke nicht entfernt worden waren. Dritter Versuch war erfolgreich - Gänsebraten jedoch nicht mehr genügend temperiert. Wiener Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln, Gänsebraten mit Rotkohl und Klößen unauffällig gut zubereitet. Nach Beendigung des Hauptgangs wurde der Tisch geräumt und die Frage gestellt, ob man "bezahlen wolle". Nach weiteren Wünschen (Dessert, Espresso) wurde nicht gefragt. Gesamturteil: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis entwicklungsfähig.

Es war ein sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt in einem eigentlich sehr schönen Hotel. Aber bei einer Außentemperatur von 10-12° sollte man schon erwarten, dass die klimatisierte Heizungsanlage funktioniert. Als wir unser Zimmer gegen 18:00 Uhr bezogen und auch kurz danach verlassen haben, haben wir den Drehknopf an der Klimaeinstellung auf 25° gestellt und die Gebläsestufe in mittlerer Geschwindigkeit eingestellt. Als wir gegen 1:00 Uhr in der Nacht eingetroffen sind, war das Zimmer wirklich äußerst kalt, und an der Rezeption war niemand mehr anzutreffen. Auch das Frühstück war für ein Hotel diese Klasse sehr spartanisch. Da hat es doch an einigem gefehlt. Da kann man für diesen Preis schon deutlich mehr und vor allem ein warmes Zimmer erwarten.

nice location, nice staff, some excellent food in the adjoining restaurant and a cigar bar available. location is excellent for in and out of airport as well as walking along the river. the room was ok but had a funny smell and looked like it could have used some significant refurbishment.

In the past, we have always stayed near the train station or the airport for early train ride or flight home. This time, we tried Gerbermuehle, which is about 40 euros by taxi from the airport but about 20 minutes. The hotel is a mix of original old building and new additions architecturally designed. It is not large, and it is not near shops or many eateries. But it is on the river bank and has quite wonderful food served in either the winter garden or the summer terrace. So, if you need a change from functional or modern hotels, try Gerbermuehle.

It is truly a delight to stay at this most charming hotel. We used to stay in town over the years of visiting Frankfurt, and a couple of years ago decided to stay here. We fell in love with the hotel and chose to stay again during our short stay at the end of a 3 week travel in Switzerland. Once again, the hotel did not disappoint. Staff is wonderful, the room was spectacular (Johann Wolfgang suite because we loved it so much), and the breakfast in the Winter garden room was lovely. We were even able to entertain our friends in the living room after dinner. And the Riverview from the balcony is great.
