View and pool are lovely. "Light-fare dinner" menu was misleading. For example what was described as "Eggplant Lasagna" was in actuality store bought ravioli topped with tomato sauce and eggplant. Nevertheless, prices were reasonable. Have frequented many inns and b&b's - have felt more welcome elsewhere. Requests for tings other than what was routinely available were met with either lack of enthusiasm or a polite yet firm rejection. Rooms were adaquate - clean yet towels were cheap and flimsy.

Stayed at the inn for a yoga retreat. The accommodations were great. Comfy bed, spacious room. The inn has so much character throughout. Their staff was incredible. All so friendly and personable, and helpful. The meals were delicious and their service was at a level you don’t always see anymore. Definitely plan to go back and would recommend if you’re looking for a little time away with some relaxation, great food and spirits and an attentive staff to take care of what you need!

We held our son and daughters-in-laws baby shower here last weekend and we could not be more pleased! Carrie and Bobby went over and above in accommodating our needs. Up in this picturesque mountaintop inn, the snow was falling, the fire had been lit, the guests arrived, a delicious buffet of salad, flat breads and macaroni and cheese was enjoyed, gifts were opened and all was well... A day to be remembered... My husband and I also stayed at the inn the night before the event and were very happy with our visit. The views from the inn are amazing!! We will definitely visit again and will surely be going for dinner to check out the other menu options! Thank you, Carrie and Bobby, for your wonderful hospitality!!!

Most comfortable beds!!!. If you appreciate historic buildings, this is the real deal. Only problem for us was the tavern was closed. Vibe is comfortable, relaxing, soothing. We enjoyed the game room. Staff very helpful. In a lovely part of New Hampshire.

Fantastic family adventure. We decided to do something different this year. So we booked rooms and Thanksgiving dinner at the Blue Bear Inn. It was incredible. The Inn was cozy and clean. The dinner was delicious and the New owners were wonderful and made our stay great for my party of nine. We are definitely returning for another stay in the future.

The new owners are very gracious and accommodating. The food was exceptional and for a very old Inn the bedrooms were beautifully appointed and comfortable. Some rooms more than others... I was staying over the kitchen and I could easily hear all the noise from the banging of pots to the dishwasher being loaded and run...lasted until 10PM both nights i was there.
