My wife & I stayed two nights @ Prairie Guest House to begin a weeklong leisure trip, then returned for a single night to wrap up our travels. The location was very convenient to Fishers-area attractions & dining options, while being just remote enough to support the "Prairie" theme with the Conner Prairie historical complex right across the road. The property owners (John & Karen) provided regular communications and information via their reservation service after we booked on the B&B website, and they continued to be helpful through our departures. Self check-in was completed seamlessly using the QR code posted in each suite, and allowed us to choose our preferred breakfast times. We occupied adjacent suites on the 2nd floor of the Guest House during our stops (Caldwell & Garrity), and each provided sufficient space & furnishings for relaxation plus an ensuite bathroom (shower only as we prefer). The bitter cold winter weather severely challenged the Guest House building's central heating, but using the space heaters (one in each suite stowed inside the closet) kept the room temps stable during our stays. Daily breakfasts were prepared & served by John in the Main House, a short walk across the courtyard from the Guest House. We were seated on the attractively furnished Main House enclosed porch space, surrounded by beautiful plants & flowers grown and nurtured by Karen (who also provided an extra treat of a gorgeous rose & carnation bouquet in our second suite). The meals had good variety on each daily plate & day-to-day, with flavorful fresh ingredients and just the right volume to fuel us for each day's start. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Prairie Guest House, and we will book another visit the next time we travel to or through the Indianapolis area.

The Prairie Guest House is exquisite! The attention to detail is incredible. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are well-appointed with lush linens and incredibly comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing as well. I would give this remarkable B&B more than 5 stars if that were possible.

My husband and I traveled to Fishers to visit family and watch some youth baseball with our nephews and nieces. This was our second stay at the Prairie Guest House and it was as we remembered. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Our host John could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommend!

Stopped for the night at the end of a two week road trip. What a gem! Lovely old updated farmhouse. Accommodations were cozy and comfy. Bathroom was spotless. John’s breakfast was yummy and he and Karen were very friendly. Never heard the other guests. I’m sure gardens in the summer are beautiful. We highly recommend this location!

My daughter and I spent one night in a room on the second floor. While I felt the room was clean, the bathroom had peeling wallpaper and the bottom of the tub was worn. My biggest complaint was how unbearably warm the room was. Check in is 3:00 and when I called at 4:12 to say how uncomfortable we were, I received a message that the phone was not answered after 4:00. I left a message but nothing was done about the temperature. It was at least 75 in the room at 11:00 and we did not have a good night’s sleep at all. We did manage to partially open one window, but it did not help. The next morning the owner apologized, but when you spend a good amount of money I believe you deserve to be comfortable—not miserable while you are there. I will probably not return.

I stayed here two nights with my husband this past month and loved how relaxed it made us feel. We were able to enjoy the place and kick back without having to find a breakfast spot. The grounds are beautiful, our room was perfect and cozy, and the breakfast was great too! The owners make you feel at home. Definitely coming back again when we travel.
