We paid for the cheapest room, so it was a little small particularly the bathroom. It being an old building it had a very slight damp smell only in the bathroom. The room itself was well appointed and beds very comfortable. Staff were excellent (Chris greeted us). Breakfast was excellent and staff great. A good location and recommended

We were in Scarborough during a cold, off-season week. While clean, Bike and Boot has some wear and tear in some of the common areas and could use a refresh. Our room was clean and comfortable with a nice ocean view. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel!

This was our second time staying at this hotel, it's a lovely hotel with nice staff a great views and very good facilities. We will be back again at some point in the near future as it's in a perfect location with excellent sea views. The only small negatives to mention is the beds are very firm and not the most comfortable and are also basically two single beds attached to each other to create a queen which makes the middle of the bed quite uncomfortable too I think this issue could be resolved with some decent mattress toppers, also the blinds do the job but the do not go up to the edges of the windows so do let a lot of light in and could really do with the addition of some curtains to block out light, one other thing is the windows don't stay open without using something to keep them open. These things are quite small issues and would not put me off staying again because the hotels location/views/staff/facilities override the issues but the hotel would be perfect if not for the small issues. Looking forward to staying again soon.

Heard a lot of good things about the Bike & Boot. We generally concur! Some areas are in need of a repaint (corridors/stairways) and our shower tray needed replacement. But otherwise, we would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel - it's a good standout amongst the towns many below par/over priced accommodation. We intend to visit their Derbys site next year.

All looks a bit tired under a veneer of modernisation. Understandable that the structure is not particularly well maintained (eg window frames completely rotten and sink drainage very temperamental) given the obvious cost in a building of this age and style. Quite expensive stay given the quality of the accommodation and surroundings however. Staff fine and breakfast ok, albeit a bit limited in choice. Can’t see beyond an average score with everything taken into account
