We loved this Riad! 4 beautifully restored, inter connecting old homes with only 20 rooms. We stayed in the original building by the pool which was gorgeous. Everyone on the staff were very helpful and kind. We particularly appreciated Ahmed at the front desk and Idriss who seemed to be everywhere and at every meal. Breakfast was very good. Small buffet but they bring you Moroccan crepes and pancakes to every table and they’ll make eggs to order. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and had lots of electrical plugs. We ate one dinner at the riad and it was excellent! Quality of the food, the service and ambiance were all top notch. Of 4 different places we stayed, Riad Maison Bleue was my favorite!!

This was my first time in Morocco and i have been anticipating this trip for a long time. Your hospitality, service the details have all made my first experience magnificent ...everything i hoped for and more. The bedroom the pool your wonderful smiling and helpful staff and especially Idriss himself have made my stay exceptional. Thank you Maison Bleue.. that been wonderful.

This magnificent old world ryad is totally something you should not miss. The rooms are lush and beautiful. It is centrally located. But the best part are the people who work there. They are all respectful. Courteous and a pleasure to be with. They are all very experienced and always eager to please. Any negative reviews of this venue should be totally ignored as they are self serving chatter. We have stayed in the best hotels on the planet. And would come back to this gem anytime we are in fes. You will have an amazing experience

The one star (and only positive feedback) I'm giving is attributed to the true beauty of the architecture in this riad, as well as the relatively positive experience we had with the front desk staff. My husband and I were made incredibly uncomfortable by the porters and the bartender/breakfast staff. In one specific incident, the porter who brought our bags to our room, lingered and refused to leave until he was provided with a tip. I would've given him one, but my husband, who had all the cash, was in the shower at the time and I didn't have immediate access to our money. I had to barge into the bathroom and have my husband get the money from his pants pocket so I can give the porter his tip before he would leave our room. The room itself was not cleaned very well, as bugs often lingered around different areas of the space. Small ones are easy to ignore, but there were two huge beetles in the bathroom that were just left there, and gave me quite a scare. At breakfast, there were no hellos or good mornings initiated by the staff. Other guests seemed to have been greeted, and I wouldn't want to assume why we weren't, but it was not a very friendly experience. The breakfast spread was mediocre at best, and there was no explanation of what any of the more traditional Moroccan items were. Someone did point at the milk and coffee, but we also weren't offered espresso, and only saw that it was offered when they suggested it to another guest. At the end of our stay, the same porter that lingered in our room, stood at the front door waiting for a tip, even though he didn't do anything to help with our bags. We did tip the other person who did actually help, but I was confused as to why that specific porter decided to stand at the door as though he was entitled to some sort of compensation, all the while looking super irritated with life. The riad itself is truly beautiful, but I wasn't even that interested in taking photos of the space after such an awful overall experience.

A bit concerned when saw the area of entrance ( construction site ) but hotel staff met us and lead to a beautiful road. The architecture is stunning, staff are very accommodating , friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and spacious, very good breakfast with excellent coffee. Note that the rooms are heated ( we were there in February) however the common areas ( restaurant, breakfast area, any external hallways or common rooms are not heated.. did wear our coats for breakfast. If mobility is a concern, this is not the place for you.. many narrow and uneven steps to get from one area to another. Big plus is that you a five minute safe walk to the Medina for shops and restaurants. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and recommend.
