We were greeted with kindness and efficiencyby Sandra, and given a quick tour of the property. The big draw is a fine swimming pool (not my thing), but I'm sure it's a huge draw in summer, and families were making use of it. There isn't a restaurant (as such) in the facility; the common room becomes a breakfast nook in the morning. Keep that in mind -- there are restaurants in the area (various km away) that are closed on Sundays and often on Mondays, so driving to a meal is a complication, and someone had better be designated driver. We knew there would be no dinner, so stopped at a supermarket and got fruit and baked goods, and inedible goat cheese (not do ROXO's fault) to tide us through. The climate control in the room struggled (and lost out) to modest heat; that would be a problem indeed, come summer. The shower and bathroom facilities were okay, as was the room, but don't rush here for luxury appointments; they aren't in evidence. But all around the agro-turismo were acre upon acre of ultra-high-density olive plantings, a recently developed technique that allows machine harvesting of olives. The whole area is all about big corporate agriculture, so if that's your thing, you'll be in Heaven. The family that created the resort, we were told, are big in agriculture, so this location is a bit of diversification. Worth a try; don't expect lots, and the staff is kind.
