This was our first bad experience with Airbnb, and it was incredibly disappointing. We flew in from Sydney for a weekend getaway, but 5 hours of failed communication with a rude and unhelpful host, combined with their no-refund policy, left us $500 out of pocket. The trip was completely ruined, and we felt let down at every turn. I hope the host learns to treat guests with more respect and improves their communication.

As stated in another review the gardens were pretty, the room was nice but unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing (cold croissant and coffee machine did not work). When I stated in another review that the coffee machine didn’t work, the reply was that there were instructions on how to turn the machine on. I didn’t realize that being condescending also a service you provided! We know how to turn a coffee machine on. Perhaps start listening to your customers rather than choosing to be rude when you don’t like their criticism. If I were to read a review and see your rude response to a review I would never bother to stay at said accommodation. Would I stay here again? Never and I wouldn’t recommend it either. With beautiful b&b’s with gorgeous welcoming hosts and breakfasts I wouldn’t waste my time and money staying here.

The accommodation has tranquil, beautiful environment and gardens. The French styled suite we stayed in is meticulously kept and cosy. Justin our host is thoughtful and caring. We highly recommend Belle Le vie to anyone wanting to visit the Dandenong Ranges area.

Long-awaited return trip was as enjoyable as my first stay. This time I was in a suite, Jardin, rather than an individual cottage but it was just as private and just as quiet. Even had its own lovely garden path and a private deck. As always, a wonderfully luxurious base for a brilliant walking holiday: great spot to head either south towards the 1,000 Steps area, or north towards Mt Dandenong. Also an easy walk into Sassafras by either a bush track or the footpath that runs along the main road. So rare in the Dandenongs to be able to get around easily without a car. Enormously thoughtful hosts as always, and a spectacularly well-equipped kitchen ... puts my one at home to shame!
