弗雷夏姆龐德 Spa 鄉村別墅飯店(Cbh Frensham Pond Hotel)

We were visiting locally as my son is a chef and was working in the area. This was a really lovely location and a beautiful hotel, staff were very helpful and check-in was easy. We would recommend.

I really tried to like this hotel but unfortunately there were too many issues. And these issues weren’t only restricted to ourselves, we heard different guests complaining also. My friend and I stayed for a two day break. Positives: decent sized comfortable room Professional friendly front desk staff Small but suitable gym Hotel is adjacent to the pond Negatives: cleanliness!!! So much dust and stains, there was even a used contact lense and hair on the night stand. Food: definitely the worst part of the experience. There was something wrong every time we dined there! Hair in the food at breakfast. Plastic in the food at lunch. Cold/ bad tasting food. We tried to make a formal complaint at check out but there was someone there complaining about the spa being cold and so we simply gave up. Safe to say, we won’t be going again.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. My husband has travelled worldwide but said this hotel was one of the best he has ever stayed in. Nicola on Reception deserves a special mention as she was the ultimate perfect welcoming host. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and we would love to return and will recommend it to friends and relatives.

Early check in was good, staff accommodated is well. The room was vey dated and in one of the single story outer buildings which we were not expecting. The room was ok, dated and in need of a refresh and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Bar service was good. We had pre arranged with the hotel a taxi to collect us from the hotel to the wedding venue which was confirmed as arranged on check in. However after checking where our cab was and several calls to local taxi companies ( there were no references on the system which company was booked ) it was obvious that they had not arrange our taxi. This was half an hour before the wedding. We were not the only guests to be forgotten with taxis and chaos commenced! Overall it’s a lovely venue, the staff attentive but the hotel could do with a refresh. Can’t comment on the spa as we didn’t use it.

My husband and I had a one night stay in one of the garden rooms. It had a little patio with a table and chairs outside under shelter, which was a really nice touch. The bed was huge, really comfy. We didn’t eat breakfast or dinner here, but the room service prices were pretty reasonable we felt. We used the spa. Do not be mistaken !! The spa is not included in the room rate !! This was a mistake on my part, I did not notice when booking. We paid an additional £40 (£20 each) for 2 hours use of the spa facilities. This let it down slightly, as I’ve been to many spa hotels and never had to pay extra. That was a shame. The spa was nice though, very small but of good quality. The grounds and the hotel itself were all kept to really good standards, it is a lovely little hotel. We had a really relaxing, child free stay and would love to return one day.

Our experience was adequate but not great. The position of the hotel at one end of Frensham Great Pond is excellent, but the hotel does not really capitalise on this. It has the feel of a conference hotel rather than a vacation hotel. The Indian sculptural motifs were a little bizarre in this setting. Our Garden Room was spacious, but rather soulless. Onsite parking is always good, but here it was over-subscribed on our second evening. There are some fine walking trails from the hotel.

First visit to this hotel and the whole place including spa was amazing, our only issue was with dinner...due to a large Christmas party we were put into a room which had no Christmas atmosphere or decorations & looked more like a store room or staff room. After receiving our food the staff practically forgot about us due to the large party which did leave a sour taste, but besides that the rooms were amazing the spa facilities were very nice & would definitely go back minus the 100 people party.

My wife and I stayed at the property on 16th and 17th November for our wing anniversary. The first room allocated to us was the basic double room. Perfectly fine apart from the noise caused by a generator, not bad but my wife is a light sleeper. So we upgraded to another room. Great view of the pond at the front and quiet. Wonderful ! The following ight we were informed by staff that we did not need to pay for the upgrade, so that was a nice treat. The staff were friendly and efficient especially Josna in the spa and Vishnu who was serving in the restaurant. We dined there on the second night and had a great meal. The spa itself was great, clean and welcoming. I rarely write a review for hotels but made an exception in this case. Strongly recommended. My wife wants to return on her birthday in May 2024. Ths again is something we would rarely do. Hope this is helpful.
