My dad built the house and some renovations have taken place, but much of my dads pine flooring and walls still remain. The Cates House was always filled with love, kindness, laughter and Christian values. My mom and dad have both deceased and they would want you to enjoy their little home as much as they did. My parents were best known in the little community of Kodak as always giving back to others- whether it be monetary, needed food, a helping hand or sitting in waiting rooms with friends during hospital stays. Near the Great Smoky Mountains National park, close to Townsend, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg this completely remodeled farmhouse has beautiful views looking down the valley and of the adjacent mountains.Relax in the jacuzzi to watch the sunset after a long day in the park or on a river adventure.Bordered by a small stream, there is a grove of fruit trees and a picturesque old shed as well as lots of space for frisbee or playing catch. We love this house because of the wrap around porch, beautiful sunrises and sunsets and the very quiet farming area, with rooster calls and cows mooing.
