I am giving 2 stars for the cleanliness and appearance. I deducted 3 stars for rudeness and service. The stay was ok but the staff is rude. The staffs lack in communication between themselves. Our dinner was included in our pakage and we confirmed it before ordering yet while checkout they argued about its not included. NAIVEDYAM Restaurant staff is very rude too. We ordered dinner in room first and then icecream. They said that you cannot place multiple orders, we don't have time to serve multiple times, even if they are taking extra service charges from customer. There is no fridge in room(accepted) and expect us to order icecream with dinner and have it as what milkshake? We pay heavy amount for the services and yet they expect us to understand if service is not to the mark, and also argue on it.
I recently spent 4 nights and 5 days at Hyatt Place Hampi with a group of 4 adults and 1 child. Here are my thoughts on the experience: Pros: 1. The property is expansive and offers various in-hotel activities, ensuring that both adults and children are entertained. 2. The front desk staff were very helpful, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs and providing valuable sightseeing tips for Hampi and nearby areas. 3. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. 4. The à la carte meals are delicious. 5. The hotel is situated in a township that has its own attractions worth exploring. Cons: 1. The hotel's location in the JSW township of Bellary is quite a distance (35-40km) from Hampi's main attractions, resulting in a 1-1.5 hour travel time each way. 2. The restaurant staff seem to lack training or experience and are often forgetful or indifferent, frequently messing up or forgetting orders, leading to customer frustration. 3. The buffet meals are average with limited options, and we even found stones in our food. 4. Given the size of the property, the staff are insufficient. 5. There is poor management of food inventory, as the restaurant staff often informed us they were out of milk and coffee during peak breakfast hours. It seems that this hotel was initially built for JSW top management and corporate clients, and it opened its doors to tourists during peak travel seasons without adequately preparing for the increased footfall. I would recommend avoiding Hampi during peak seasons, as staying close to the main attractions can be challenging, and hotels like the Hyatt, which are far from the main sites, can become tiresome.
THE BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD TILL DATE. it all started with my family needing a room in the middle of night due to long weekend (not my fault). Thanks to Sameer who was able to accommodate my family at such a short notice in the Maharani suite at a great rate. This property is truly majestic! no amount of words are enough. The suite which is also their highest priced but it comes with the value for money. A living room with a king side bed, enough space to host a party and a smaller room with a queen size bed as well as a separate dressing up area, definitely made for a MAHARANI (queen). The property itself is huge and feels like a small world in the middle of Karnataka. The hotel has a vintage car museum which fascinated me, a swimming pool, gym, spa and a great in house restaurant. The food! alright so I am professionally a chef and I do not enjoy restaurant style food anymore as it is often accentuated and that is exactly the part I loved about this place. Great food that tastes like it was made at home, comforting, pleasing just right and very fairly priced. Just wow! Other than above mentioned things the most important part to me was that this place only has 12 rooms and yet we got lucky, it truly is serene and quiet. There were times when I felt that the palace was left truly to us. Having our privacy and yet having someone to assist us, that is the mark of true luxury and outstanding Hospitality. special thanks to Lokesh, Joseph and Vishwajeet, biswa Karan (pardon me if I misspelled anyone's name) and anyone who's name I do not recall, each single person is worth thank for. see attached pictures. We had booked this hotel for its proximity to the railway station. We reached after few days exhausting sightseeing of Badami and Hampi. The stay was most relaxing here. Big comfy bed in huge room. AC TV functioning perfectly. Room service Reception staff all are above 4-5 star establishments. Our returning journey train was much delayed and the hotel management was very courteous and let us stay longer in the room at no extra charge which is nowadays exceptional in hotel industry. We were extremely happy with the stay here. The group has other properties at Bangalore and Madikeri; we surely will use them and we highly recommend Ananya Comfortss in Hospet to seniors families and couples for excellent location service and hospitality!!
