I got the WORST EVER treatment of my whole life from the hotel Staff and the hotel General Manager: Kristin Feenstra, she was disrespectful and rude towards me and I was offered a room upgrade from the front desk staff , after exactly ONE hour time upon asking for my room keys she denied and refused to give me the upgrade with the excuse of miss communication, when I told her about my frustration and disappointment she just asked me to check out and leave the hotel if I am not feeling happy. Totally unprofessional staff and the worst ever customer service that doesn’t reflect Marriott values or behaviors. I will never ever come back again to this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at the end of March 2023. On arrival, we noticed that there was a cherry picker outside the hotel and that work appeared to be happening. At reception, there was a piece of paper taped to the desk explaining that building renovations had now been finished and that painting was all that was still being carried out - and that this would not happen outside 9-6. The check-in staff member advised that we would have to request a room refresh as Hampton Inn no longer did so - until the 5th night. We were on a 2-night stay. I asked the reason for this and he told me it was connected to Covid. When I pointed out that this no longer seemed a current reason he told me that it 'depends on which policy you read'. To me this is cost-cutting. The room was, however, lovely and recently refreshed. It was spotless. I agreed with the other reviewer about the lack of sound insulation through doors. We could hear everything out in the hallway - when someone went into the room next door or opposite it was so loud that it felt like they were coming into our room. We could also hear into the next-door bathroom. That was the only downside. That and the fact that we forgot to ask for that room refresh after all. Breakfast was standard.
I just check in for a 17 day stay with my two kids. Bri at reception could not have been more helpful, professional, and pleasant! The hotel is clean and well staffed. We booked directly through the Marriott website and got a great rate for this caliber hotel.
A big thank you to the entire staff led by Elaine! Special shout outs to Yulisa, Mercy, Flor, Soleda, Griselda, Zulma, Edgar and Ahmad for helping me make my 2 month long transition to the DC area so much easier. And look no further for a large grassy, very clean dog area!
