Clean, quiet and affordable. Room was clean and spacious, sleeper sofa wasn't very comfortable to sit on and dishwasher wasn't mounted so it tipped forward when loading (Reported). Immediate area is a bit rundown with shuttered businesses but that's kind of everywhere nowadays.
Overall the place was great, would stay again. Breakfast was ok, very limited, but these are kitchenette suites so didn't expect a lot.
Major question though is why they charge $5 a day for self parking in a suburban location. Just seems nickel and diming. No security or gates, just spaces.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit Washington D.C. (more than 10 years). Nice area with shopping/dining and an easy drive into D.C. Staff is courteous, hotel is clean and quiet. Breakfast is great and the outdoor pool is wonderful.

Overall, the stay was great. Very friendly service, well kept rooms and a short walking distance to eateries and stores. 3 issues kept it from being outstanding: 1) free breakfast service was not explained at check in, 2) loud HVAC system, fan was blowing too strong, dry air led to sinus issues, nose-bleed, 3) foot steps from floor above was very loud, we, including our 4-legged friend, didn't get a good night rest (the foot steps didn't stop until ~1 am).

The suite at Sonesta ES was perfect! It felt just like home and came fully stocked with utensils, plates, mugs/glasses, and a few other kitchen items. The swivel TV was great and we could see the TV no matter where you were in the suite. The bathroom was very clean and bright. The shower also came stocked with body wash and shampoo. There was always plenty of parking. The included breakfast was so yummy with lots of options (I recommend the waffles!!). We look forward to staying again.

I love it here, and am still here after a month. I plan to stay another month before moving out-of-state. The staff here is wonderful. The facility is very nice/clean.
