For a supposedly recently renovated property it seems they renovated it to the 70s. Oversized furniture in small spaces. The first room we were assigned had a king bed that took up the whole room. The second room was larger with a single and double bed but a shower the size of a phone booth. No closet. The wifi was fast but unprotected. They are supposed to have free shuttle to & from the airport but coming and going we had to get a cab and a Lyft, which the hotel paid for. They did provide a shuttle to the Riverboat. Location is good with 2 triple D restaurants on the same block and other choices within short walking distance. Some hotel personnel were friendly and accommodating but others were unhelpful, annoying and unconcerned. The description of the property on ******* is flawed. We would never stay there again

This property was very outdated and in need of new carpet, paint and fixtures. The outside of the building was not clean and the odor from outdated carpet, was almost unbearable. The shower was so outdated and dirty, we did not feel safe using it. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

The room was barely larger than the bed! Only a very small person could fit in the shower. There was NO food available other than vending machines.

The room is nice and clean with a beautiful king size bed. The staff was very nice, but they told us we aren’t allowed to open the window, which seemed an odd statement, considering it’s very cold outside. But when we got to the room, it is much to warm for comfort, and we can’t find a thermostat to turn down the heat. Which means and uncomfortable hot and sweaty sleepless night, unless we disobey their orders about the window. Also, the parking lot is full, and the overflow parking is two blocks away.

Well I’ll start with what went great. The staff is really nice and friendly. They are very accommodating and swapped my rooms. They gave me a nice view. The shuttle from the airport is prompt and convenient. Location is great right in heart of downtown Fairbanks. Manager on duty is is sincerely nice m. Now the not so good. Hotel is old and dingy. Elevator was having to be worked on. Small and all the rooms have an odor. First one smelt of cigarette smoke so I asked to be moved. Second room smelled like food but I didn’t bother asking for another swap. Overall didn’t look very clean in places like restroom. That said, if you’re looking to save money, it will get the job done but I was grateful to only need my room for two days and between touring, didn’t stay in my room long.

Over all, this was a good place. Small rooms, but how much do you need? Friendly, professional and helpful staff. Clean, mostly. Shower is tiny but functional. The mattress needs to die in a dumpster fire. The side closest to the bathroom sagged so badly neither of us could sleep there. We would stay there again, but we’d check the mattress first! LOL!
