伊頓伊頓公學附近住宿

Could and should be nice. Great location…….comfortable bed with good linen. However, the scruffy and untidy front and rear means most people would walk past, just an unattractive proposition. The scruffy paintwork outside, and in the room, may be considered a little heavy duty maintenance but the very rusty toilet roll dispenser, 3 mismatched hangars in the wardrobe and delaminating shelf (the only one in the room!) are all low cost, easy items that should have been picked up some time ago. We didn’t stay for breakfast as the kitchen is open to view from the bottom of the stairs and it didn’t fill us with confidence or comfort. No drawer or shelf storage…….so those 3 random hangars were more significant. Shame………

在樂高樂園呆了兩天,在這裏住了一晚,你從酒吧進去,酒吧外邊還有接待處。他們告訴你沒有早餐設施,如果你們要出去晚了怎麼進酒店,但是不是說早上怎麼出去,晚點多說。他們帶我們到家庭房,通過一個兔子窩的通道,那裏的屋頂太低了,有泡沫可以阻止你撞到頭,現在他們確實說是300-year-old的客棧。房間的第一印象不錯,很大,而且在不同的層次,有很多茶和咖啡。他們告訴你在預訂時,家庭房確實可以俯啤酒花園,而且會相當吵,有雙層玻璃窗,但這是一年中最熱的夜晚之一,房間裏有一台風扇,酒吧裏一品脫的冰把這個變成了我們的空調系統。現在,我們把手機充電器插上電源,所有的燈都開始閃爍,這真的需要檢查。然後,我的搭檔說淋浴房外面的地毯很潮溼,現在這可能是因爲洗手盆裏的熱水龍頭非常鬆,你不得不一隻手拿着它,另一隻手打開它,水燙傷了,所以當你握着它把它關掉的時候,它就會燒傷你,而當你鼓勵7歲的孫子洗手時,這樣做不好。而且,沒有插頭,所以你不能把熱水和冷水混合來冷卻它。早上,人們發現溼地毯的原因,就是你打開淋浴器時,淋浴器壞了,水流得不夠快,淋浴盤溢出。如果有人在的話,我早上會向員工提到這些問題,但是沒有。酒吧的門鎖上了,牆上有一個鑰匙盒,用來存放鑰匙,然後你通過緊急出口離開了酒店。於是,一條狹窄的通道把垃圾箱裝得滿滿的,令人愉快地,然後進入啤酒花園。酒吧的大門也被鎖上了,你不得不找出一個門,你可以出去,但是如果你忘了什麼東西,你不可能回到酒吧。還有一件事,我們早早地把孫子放上牀,我得到了幾杯酒從酒吧送到房間,一罐G&T和威士忌薑汁啤酒的價格超過22英鎊,現在比樂高蘭還貴,我想這很難做到。打!

優點：地點很好，一早麪對泰晤士河和伊頓橋吃吃早餐很棒。一樣的英式早餐。停車場需要在外麪停。缺點：行李多和小孩注意了，我們的房間在需要爬老式英國建築三層而且是轉來轉去那種，行李多的估計麻煩。房間內的牀小了，不適合一家三口。加牀不知道，沒有呼叫。PS：房間沒空調！

我最初在較低樓層的房間有街道噪音,但前台工作人員把我搬到了較高的樓層,那裏的街道噪音不那麼明顯。房間適合我的旅行。由於火車早出發,我沒有吃早餐。

酒店位置一級棒，左右兩邊各是shopping mall和步行街，對麪就是溫莎城堡。訂了寬敞的城堡景觀房5晚，並要求加牀（實際就是把沙發牀拉開），退房時沒有額外收費，👍。

Goswell House is a great central location for the castle, high street and restaurants. Everything is a couple of mins walk away. On arrival, I rang the doorbell and did have to wait a little while for someone to come and check me in. I think there must have only been one member of staff working at any one time. Lovely entrance hall with character. Our twin room (which I was sharing with a friend) was lovely - spacious and really comfy beds. Bottled water provided on arrival (as shown in photo). There was a stain on the duvet cover (but this was duly sorted when I rang reception) and we couldn't work out how to open the windows. We both slept comfortably for the two nights we were there - very quiet - could not hear any noise either from outside or from other rooms. In fact, we only saw one other group during our entire stay. I think what lets Goswell House down is its breakfast. Yes - it is advertised as self-service - so we expected that. Breakfast is served between 8-10am in a room with many two seater tables. There was a selection of cereals including instant oats. There were also some croissants and sliced bread. There was a microwave and toaster available for use, along with some yoghurts, fruit, juice and milk in the fridge. Paying around £6 each for breakfast each day, I think more variety would be expected. Also it was not clear if we had to wash up our own dishes - there was a washing up sponge and liquid - but we decided just to put our dishes in the dishwasher. I think breakfast would be enhanced if there was a member of staff around, clearing plates etc. A change here would really elevate Goswell House up to the expectations of a hotel seeing as that is what they market themselves as. So overall: Pros: comfy bed, good-sized room, quiet, good location Cons: lack of staff presence, self-service breakfast, not a 'hotel' feel.
