I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. First, I really enjoy the concept of taking old motels and converting them. Sometimes though, it feels like some paint was thrown on and not much more. Trailborn executes this concept perfectly. Everything is new and nice. We really enjoyed the cork floor - the floor felt clean even with slush and salt. The staff really set the stay apart - everyone I engaged with was genuinely excited about the hotel and eager to make it a good experience. We enjoyed making s’mores by the big fire pit, and the breakfast burritos and included espresso in the morning was such a great touch. The value was fantastic - the pet fee was minimal and parking was included. Also, great location. An easy, scenic walk on the river walk and you are in town, and across the road is a great trail the dogs loved. Our only tips would be a mat by the front door for shoes (it snowed a ton) and maybe a few hooks on the wall for coats and leashes. Well done, Trailborn! We will be back!

Trailborn is a special gem! This is the way a hotel should be. You have the hospitality, warmth, and thoughtfulness of a 5 star property in an adventure segment. What a treat! So many details from the delicious casa colina, nightly smores, post cards, private label tea and beer offerings. The General Manager, Matt is amazing and Conner at the front desk is really friendly and knowledgeable. When you book, they give tons of information on what to do and where to go to make the most of your trip. I highly recommend!

Awesome experience at Trailborn! Can’t say enough about the staff, environment and accommodations. Every employee was polite, helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean, bed and pillows very soft, and overall very comfortable to stay in. The breakfast burrito at the coffee was awesome, and the view is incredible, plus you get to finish the day with s’mores around the fire. Would definitely recommend staying here, it’s well worth it!

We were not made aware that the AC is shut off in every room due to the pipes might freeze. You cannot call the office with the room phone because they do not work either. I give this place a zero and will never stay here or any other hotel owned by the management company. We had to sleep with the windows open to just have air in the room.

Loved it besides the door being about a half an inch to an inch above the seal making it pretty cold by the door and loud early in morning with the cars driving by. Other than that it was great!

We will only stay here when we come to Estes Park! The staff is beyond amazing and helpful! So many recommendations from all the staff! Food was great, room was super comfortable and the over all experience was so wonderful!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park. Staff was extremely helpful. Highly recommended and will stay again.

Trailborn just reopened in December 2023 after being completely renovated. The outside looks like a motor lodge, but the interior is very contemporary and chic. Our stay got off to a great start, as the staff couldn't have been friendlier. They made us feel so welcome. Our room was comfortable and incredibly clean. I especially like the flooring, as there is no carpet. While this means that the floors are chilly in winter—bring both warm socks and slippers—it also means the room is that much cleaner. There was a small couch and table, window seating, and an area with mini fridge, kettle, and coffee and teabags. I look forward to the restaurant opening next month. In the meantime, though, we were invited to order breakfast—for free—from a local restaurant. It was delivered, and we had the choice of eating in the lobby or having it delivered to our room. The dining area in the lobby is so beautiful, full of light, that we ate there. We live about an hour from Estes Park, so we didn't need help with planning activities, but the hotel even offers to arrange a number of experiences that are conveniently described in a brochure. This will be my new go-to place when I want to stay in Estes!

10 minutes from the park and walking distance to town, Trailborn Rocky Mountains was a great hub for my mountains getaway. Friendly staff, comfy bed, and fun lobby energy all contributed to a great stay.
