L'expérience magique commence dès le site et le livret d'accueil qui donnent le ton de ce que nous avons savouré au Domaine de Labarthe. Les propriétaires sont charmants, une présence discrète mais chaleureuse et attentionnée. D'excellents conseils pour les restaurants aux alentours et visites de la région, un agréable bonus. La décoration est splendide, dans le respect de l'esprit du lieu, tout est choisi avec goût et soin pour un raffinement digne des grandes maisons. La chambre Prune est douillette, élégante et la literie offre des nuits paisibles, dans un silence qui fait du bien (et sans télé, quelle bonne idée). Une halte à la piscine, dans un jardin superbement entretenu agrémenta ce séjour. Et comment ne pas saluer les délicieux petits déjeuners, festival de produits frais et savoureux. Nous avons passé 1 semaine parfaite, nous venions nous y reposer... mission accomplie avec brio. Merci !

Du grand luxe digne d un 5 etoiles. Nos hôtes sont charmants bienveillants et d’une gentillesse sans fin. Le cadre est juste splendide. L’immense piscine n’est pas le réel atout de lieu fantastique. Tout est parfait dîner et petit déjeuner

We had such a fantastic stay - the property and rooms are wonderful and you are so warmly greeted by not only Laurance but both dogs looking for strokes. We had were given a tour of the house, gardens and swimming pool and Laurance made sure that we had dinner reservations arranged. Our room was spacious with a large comfy bed and ensuite - shower was excellent. The room looks onto the gardens / swimming pool and did have a TV but we never had time to watch it. The property is steeped in history and is decorated in a matching style but a number of modern twists. Breakfast was served in the lounge (or by the swimming pool when its warm enough). There was a lovely selection of fresh baguettes, croissants, cheeses, yogurts, fruit along with juices / tea / coffee. The property also has its own wine label and works in collaboration with Chateau Lagrezette which is located a mile away. We did pop in for a tasting (which is free) and found their wines generally good. The hotel is located in the countryside and about 15mins from the centre of Cahors by car - its a great location to explore the many villages in the surrounding area.

Just spent a night at this charming dog friendly guest house. A tranquil atmosphere and fantastic hosts complemented a truly tastefully decorated retreat. The breakfast was amazing. Just booked our return I was so impressed. Bring your swimming costume. The pool is amazing and heated.
