史密斯頓歷史飯店(Historic Smithton Inn)

We spent a few days at this beautiful historic inn for our 40th anniversary in scenic Lancaster County. It was fantastic! The furniture and beds were very comfortable, which is often not the case at “historic” locations. Breakfasts were delicious and varied. There was entertainment in the wine tasting room in the evening. The new owner is very pleasant and was accommodating to our needs. We would definitely return to this beautiful and comfortable inn! Highly recommend.

Karen is a lovely host and her breakfasts were delicious. We stayed in the Gables which is the largest room in the Inn, with a full size kitchen and living room. The bed was very comfortable and shower was fantastic with great water pressure. We enjoyed the live music in the wine bar on Friday and Saturday evening. The only downside was the loud traffic well past midnight on Friday night. By Saturday the noise was negligible. It was a very enjoyable weekend and look forward to a return visit.

My wife and I just recently spent a night at the Smithton Inn in the Crimson Dove suite. Overall very nice. I loved the historic feel of this place. Overall our room was comfortable. The bed was very nice. The furniture in the room is dated and worn but clean. The bathroom area was clean and tidy. My only complaint comes when we tried to use the Jacuzzi in the room. After filling it and turning on the water Jets black particles started to come out of the nozzles. That indicates mold. The tub has not been properly cleaned and sanitized. So we skipped using it. As for the new owner Karen she is very friendly and accommodating.

Such a beautiful inn! Loved the Crimson Dove Suite. Karen is a wonderfully accommodating inn keeper. Our breakfast was lovely and had cheese and sausage from a local Amish farm. We wanted to go to a big amish food market. Karen suggested to go to Roots country market & auction which was incredible and everything we were looking for. It’s only open Tuesdays but we lucked out we were there Tuesday and it is worth planning to see. There’s plenty other Amish stores, markets and restaurants around. We will be back soon!

Our stay at the Historic Smithton Inn was superb as always. We happened to be there during the turnover from Dave and Rebecca Gallagher to the new owner Karen Franzone. Karen is going to be a great Innkeeper. She is enthusiastic and has a lot of great ideas. We wish her well and know that staying at the Historic Smithton Inn will continue to be the great experience it has always been for us.

My husband and I stayed here for our short "baby moon/anniversary" trip to Lancaster County. We stayed in the Red Room; the room was well kept and the amenities were great. Rebecca cooked an amazing breakfast both mornings and was a very friendly host. We appreciated the reserved parking for B&B guests. We wish we could have enjoyed the back yard fire pit and the patio but were unfortunately rained out. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at the Smithton Inn. The owners have kept the feel of the time period but with all of the modern conveniences. Linens, soaps ect. are top of the line!! The winery on site is wonderful with great wine. Breakfast was amazing. Rebecca and Dave are great hosts and hostesses. The fire pit outside was a blessing. We were traveling with a group and it provided us with a space to laugh and visit without disturbing other guests. There is much outdoor space to sit and relax. Five stars in every category.

We stayed in the Tailor's Cottage. The cottage is not a separate building but is separate from the other rooms in the house which made it very private. The cottage is 2 story - living & kitchen downstairs, bedroom that sleeps 3 & bathroom are up a narrow, winding staircase. The historic inn was built in the 1700's, a little rustic but still has some of its original charm. The cottage was clean and comfortable; it has a kitchenette & dining table; full size refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig which we appreciated for our early morning coffee. The inn has a wine tasting room, across the hall from the breakfast room, that is opened on the weekend; a selection of bar food is available for purchase along with beverages. Guests can have breakfast in the dining room or tasting room. The breakfasts we had were delicious and filling! Asia, the hostess on duty while we were there is friendly and offered a few sightseeing recommendations. The location of the inn is pretty central for touring Lancaster and the surrounding Amish/shops areas. The inn is also close to President James Buchanan home at Wheatland which was a great tour in itself.

This was one of the nicest Places we have stayed. The owners were amazing, the a**osphere was over the top and the breakfast was awesome each day. My wife and I went for a little getaway and were very pleasantly blessed. I highly recommend this for a bed and breakfast getaway. Thank You for making our getaway so special.
