Perfect for visiting Kangaroo Island. Nice view and very well equipped cabin. Koalas on the property!! Rene is a good host and the information provided is great. Quiet at night and the beach nearby. Also very sustainable way of how to deal with the environment!!

Wir waren in Cottage 4 untergebracht, das sehr gut ausgestattet war. Wir hatten von dort aus einen herrlichen Blick auf die Bucht. Das gesamte Areal ist super gepflegt und sehr schön mit Pflanzen angelegt. Sogar die Koalas sind hier in den Bäumen zu finden.

April 2024 We stayed in the Bayview Guest wing, perfect for the two of us, for our seven night stay. Although it is attached to Amani House, (so it can be hired as part of Amani too), it is very well sound proofed and we chatted to our neighbours at times but felt undisturbed by their presence. Fantastic views of the superb Emu Bay, surrounded by wildlife and we were made very welcome by Rene and Johannes. The lovely Rene visited us to make sure we had whatever we needed and she is very knowledgeable about KI and can answer any questions you might have. Everything we needed was supplied, including a welcome gift of a bottle of False Cape red wine, local honey and KI oats and the apartment was beautifully clean. An easy walk to the beautiful beach, friendly locals and a fifteen minute drive to Kingscote for a meal at the pub, or the local Italian. (Booking is a good idea!) Stayed three nights in Shalom, a well equipped 2 bedroom chalet. Woke up each morning to the sunrise through the front bedroom window. We were lucky enough to have a koala in the tree just outside when we arrived. Two others were in the trees by the entrance. Kangaroos came to visit. Emu beach is a short stroll down the hill, although you can drive and take your vehicle onto the five kilometre beach. Don’t worry it’s hard sand! EBHH is well situated to visit any part of the island and the quiet roads make for easy driving. Flinders Chase at the far western end is just over an hour away. Would thoroughly recommend whatever the length of stay.

A great place to visit to get away from the hustle and bustle, really handy they have a 7kW EV charger onsite to recharge at an evening. You can comfortably explore the Island and return to the mainland superchargers with this piece of mind. Natural wildlife all around.

Great house. Lovely holiday and easily visit attractions. The house was as advertised clean and adequately stocked for all our requirements. Beds were comfortable . René promptly replied to our contact. Gardens lovely for walks. Bonus Koalas next to our accommodation and lots of bird life to enjoy.

Wonderful accommodation which caters to all needs. The view is spectacular with the beach close by. The house is surrounded by a garden that attracts wildlife. The house is well situated and close to many attractions in the island. Family and child friendly. Highly recommended.

Very private and well appointed house in immaculate condition. Lovely beach and reasonably close to main town of Kingscote. Kangaroos and Koalas visited during our stay. It was very dry however due to recent drought conditions requiring careful use of ester. Great place for a quiet getaway.

We stayed here for4 nights in March 24. There are a number of cottages on a site overlooking Emu Bay, which are all in a beautifully landscaped area and well separated from each other. We were in the Shalom cottage at the rear of the site. The unit was in excellent condition, perfectly clean and very comfortable. An outside deck had a BBQ provided. It took us until our second evening to find the Koala in the trees next to our unit, and then one on the other side of the site. Kangaroos came past in the mornings and evenings. The beach at Emu Bay is only a 10 minutes walk away, Kingscote 15 minutes by car for any supplies, and the beaches at Stokes Bay and along the North coast easily in reach. We would recommend to anyone.
