"Good hotel with the added bonus of a kitchen with sink, dishwasher and refrigerator. Breakfast is also a perk, but the hot eggs and meat each day were not very good. Stuck to the pastries, yogurt and bagels. Overall happy with the room, comfortable bed, clean, and nice having cookies in the lobby. Not happy to have a room on the second floor with no elevator available. Very difficult to get up and down each day, especially with all the luggage and a bad back. Parking was also tough if you came in late, but many spots available during the day or early evening."

"Staying off Bay Harbor to avoid the expensive hotels; this is a fair＞good option. Front desk was good (check in/out). Continental breakfast provided plenty of options and coffee was always hot and made. Facilities need some tending too; appears they are working on it. Lobby/hallway to second floor had horrible odor like BO. Beds and bedding were clean and updated. However rooms need lots of TLC to update. Housing staff were great and seemed to work efficiently. If they get the place updated; it will bring in lots more visitors."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn Ellsworth/Bar Harbor! The hotel was spotless, our room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices to start the day, and the location was perfect for exploring Ellsworth, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor. It was nice to come back each evening to a clean, relaxing room after a day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the friendly service and how well the property was maintained. If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay while visiting the Downeast Maine area, we highly recommend the Hampton Inn Ellsworth/Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay here again!"

Entry area to building is filthy, mud-tracked floor, dirty shoes strewn at doorways, We should have turned around to find a different accomodation. The room was not bad, but there was still a scary quality to the surroundings."
