Great view on Ella Rock form the balcony. There’s nothing more to say

I have no idea how this property is highly rated. I left 15minutes after going in (thankfully I could cancel the booking for free before 6pm the day i reached). There was another couple like us who came more or less the same time as us and was looking for another accommodation. So I booked on a booking site for two nights (USD64), when we reached the guy took us to a room and told us that the room we booked is currently undergoing reparation but they decided to move us in to this room which is bigger and better for (USD 90), i did not agree because I booked the one for USD 64. But the man told us repeatedly told us that we have got the best room so try to do an effort to pay more. We felt quite intimidated so we settled on USD 75.00. The man agreed. Mean whilst I was searching for another option & got one, when I went to tell the man that we do not want to stay, he told us ok no problem pay only USD 64.00. What the hell was that? Also there are no reception counter, the best room we supposedly got was next to the street, during the 15minutes I stayed in the room, I could hear the rickshaws, motorcycles and the train track is also there. The restaurant is old and dark. No tv in the room, the toilet and bathroom is one. No safety at all since the property is just next the road, no gate no fencing nothing. The ‘best’ room that we got was just 1 metre away from the road. I was scared what if someone has a double key and open the doors whilst we are there? There were 3/4 men lurking around the property. Thankfully we got another accommodation and we left. I dont know how this property is highly rated, views do not mean everything when you dont feel safe! please think twice before going.

Surrounded by beautiful view. Stuff is nice and kind. Room is clean. Their SriLankan breakfast derived with tea was awesome. They also can arrange 1day tour transportation with seasonal price. Credit card is acceptable and they receive USD as well.
