曼賽菲爾德飯店

My wife and I stayed in 'The Bothy' for 14 nights, visiting family based nearby. The Bothy is like a studio apartment, having the normal amenities of a room plus a small kitchenette area. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. For us, the restaurant is the heart of the hotel and it did not disappoint. We didn't plan to have all our evening meals in the restaurant but having sampled the menu, we couldn't tear ourselves away, except on one occasion to dine at the 'Orrin', which is also highly recommended. We took all our breakfasts in the hotel too which were glorious. From full Scottish to cereal and yoghurt. No horrible buffet crush here, it was all very civilised with table service. The staff are wonderful, being competent and efficient but with a lovely blend of friendliness and professionalism. They really are an incredible asset and they all added to the enjoyment of our stay. The hotel public areas are exquisitely styled and comfortable. The bar area is inundated with hundreds of whisky bottles in display cases, highlighting the important relationship between the hotel and the ubiquitous whiskey industry around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already chosen to stay at The Mansefield next summer for our annual visit to see our family. Thanks Ella and Team. With much admiration, Tim and Rio

Spent a wonderful 2 nights at the Mansefield. Never met such friendly staff in any of the hotels we have stayed in. The quality of the food was top notch with very good sized portions and believe all locally sourced as much as it can be. The hotel gave us a room upgrade as we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary which was so kind of them. Cant wait to make a return visit

Beautiful hotel, fantastic rooms with every thing you need including iron, ironing board, dressing gowns tea and coffee making facilities, great staff who were helpful and friendly, slept like a log and left feeling relaxed, great restaurant and location with Elgin a 5 min walk away.

Beautiful hotel, lovely room, great food and the best staff. What more can you ask for? My wife and I were there for my son's wedding, I have to say it could not be better, keep up the good work, the friendly staff made the whole experience special.

I really enjoyed my couple of days here. The service was - for me - impeccable.. Both @ reception & in the restaurant The Breakfast menu is varied with both hot & cold options available. The cleanliness of my room was superb! Ideally situated as well....

I visited my sister in Elgin recently and wanted to treat her and a family friend to dinner on Saturday 25 May and we chose The Mansfield hotel restaurant. It was a disaster. My starter was just about eatable…..our mains, both filet and sirloin steaks were so bad we only had a couple of bites and that was enough. Our steaks were terrible, my filet was cremated, dry and uneatable. Veg looked as though it had come straight out of a plastic menu but obviously this was either boil in the bag or frozen/ microwaved. When we complained I was told the chef would be told but of course there was no sign of him …..even if he existed which I doubt. On leaving I was presented with a bill of over £200 and advised service was not included and there would be no reduction on our bill or any other compensatory gesture, in fact the waitresses were very nice and the only part of the dreadful experience which was good. Never again.
