Great hotel in El Calafate. Walking distance to the main boulevard but on a quiet street. Feels like a European Ski Chalet. Our room was clean and bright, and the reception staff were incredibly helpful. Special mention to Daniel who helped us with our Tours, thank you! Lovely Spa and heated Swimming pool which was a welcome reprieve after a very cold and windy tour of the glaciers. Would highly receommend.
Room is nice and good size. Has sufficient space for 2. Breakfast is a nice spread, although it is exactly the sane everyday. Hotel has sauna, gym and massage services (cheaper than street prices for tourists).
Location is super convenient, easy walk to town for food and shopping. Also very near to the free shuttle to the Glaciaruim.
A very pretty well designed hotel in a good location, but the interior needs a little updating. The carpets in the main areas are threadbare ! Lasagne in the restaurant was so dry we sent it back, but other dishes were OK. Our room was clean and comfortable with lovely views over the lake and the hotel is a short walk from the main shopping and restaurant area.

Great at writing front desk log notes then promptly forgetting that you wanted a taxi. Had the room next to the front desk, they abandoned the desk with a printer error that beeped all night EVERY 15 SECONDS! Didn’t sleep a wink. In short, front desk staff cannot be trusted with the simplest of tasks. “ Do it yourself” attitude is pervasive. Stay somewhere else! Edit: Gimena, the manager responded asking for details “so we can improve”. After giving her details, she proceeds to berate me and falsely acuse me of being rude (and even reports me to the booking agency!)- even though I had already checked out and left at the time she said that she had “video evidence”. This is probably my worst hostel experience. Ever. Terrible staff. Vindictive manager. Seriously, you don’t want to pay a premium to stay here
Centrally located. Within walking distance to downtown street. Tour buse to El Chalten and Perito Merino stopped by the hotel to pick us up. Very friendly front desk lady/owner, Sue Won, originally from Korea. Her brother came to Argentina 50 years ago and owns other motels/properties. Shared some of her personal stories as well. Very nice. She spoke decent English. Difficult to find English speaking people in Argentina. Sue was very helpful and made our stay very homely. Gave us some good tips on currency conversion which is a big mess in Argentina with the exchange rates…..

The cleaning ladies were polite and keep the place in a decent shape, but the hotel doesn't make you feel very welcome. Reception is matter of fact, breakfast is decent but serving rather stingy portions - you need to make effort to get a decent serving of scrambled eggs for example. As such, the hotel is rather overpriced for what you get. As a traveler and guest I'd prefer to be left out of politics. However, the hotel's prominent support through its window display for Israel (flag + sign reading ”we stand by Israel”), that so far has murdered over 30.000 civilians (70% women and children), made my stay rather uncomfortable. Knowing it's a rather ”polemic” political topic that perhaps has no place on tripadvisor, considering that it was the hotel's decision to take a clear public political stance, I also feel that it is helpful to share here for those travellers who wish to take an informed and conscious decision on whether to stay here. I certainly would have wanted to know before booking online.
