First they charged us $98.56 for one nights stay when the website said only around $57.00 for one nights stay. We went into the room, there was no coffee maker, only half the lights worked in the room, the TV didn't work, and the handle on the hot water side of the shower almost fell off. They have a lovely list of things each room is supposed to have but our room was lucky to have a refrigerator in it and clean towels. Good thing we only stayed for one night.

I asked for first floor accessible and wheelchair accessible and we ended up on the second floor. I thought I asked for non-smoking and we got a room that smelled like smoke.

Well there was a bandage over the pep hole in the door. The air conditioner has Kool aid or something spilled all down the front of it. The bottom of the toilet is nasty and the holder that the toilet paper goes on is hanging from the wall. The phone was unplugged and the light in the bathroom doesn't work. Very disappointed with my stay this time.

The staff was friendly at check in and the rooms were clean

Google says this is a 2-star hotel. That is a lie! It should be 0 stars. We stayed here over the weekend and had a terrible experience. In fact, we had to call the cops to break up a domestic incident that lasted all night until it escalated at 6AM. The cops finally made an arrest, and it was quiet after that... but the hotel manager did nothing about it. The room was also gross. The shower had not been cleaned, which contained both globs of hair and half used bars of soap. Do all you can to avoid this dump. Anywhere else in Effingham is better.

I like that it was a room available at that time since I had to get off the road from traveling all day. I didnt like that the two rooms i got wasn't cleaned, especially the bathrooms in both rooms and the beds. We literally slept with our clothes on and didn't get much sleep and checked out at 4:30 am instead of 11 am because we wasnt comfortable
