椰樹海灘度假村(Coco Beach Resort)

We would recommend to stay at Coco Beach! After 2 cyclones, our original accommodation and venue cancelled days before our wedding. Robert the manager of Coco Beach made it possible and super easy to organise a wedding at his resort at very short notice. He is great to work with and was such a great and friendly help. We really appreciate the beautiful scenery, staff were helpful and kind. The chef took great care of the meals for our wedding and we didn't need to worry about a thing. Our experience with coco Beach was awesome. Thanks so much!

Loved our stay here. Such a lovely spot on the beach. Owner is great to chat to. He also arranged pickup from another motel for us and an early check in at no extra charge. Pretty cool spot to snorkel off the beach (mostly dull coral but still lots of fish). Had snorkeling gear for us to borrow. Pool was green and unswimmable when we were there. Room was nice, no a/c but had a fan. Restaurant was great for lunch and dinner but a bit pricey. If we'd stayed more days would've tried other nearby places for food. The best cocktails!! Is far from town. Was an ideal spot for us for a couple of days as we'd already had a week staying in town exploring things. Would recommend if you want to stay at a resort/beachside mostly. Is relatively expensive to taxi to town.

After two cyclones made our original unavailable it was difficult for somewhere to accomadate 14 adults + 9 children aged 2 -14 for 6 days over easter . Tina arranged to have the whole resort to ourselves . The last couple of days 2 young couples were there and we got on well with them even sharing some karva they got from the locals much stronger than in Fiji + some Tusker beers . The resort is about 30 minutes out of town and has 15 nice size fares . Spend the extra for the beachfront fares for the views + they have air con . On two of the seven days we hired two fifteen seat vans and toured the island for the day and had dinner out . At about $70 Aust a day per family is a great way to see the island . The rest of the time we chilled out snorkeling + swimming in front of the resort ,also using the stand up paddle boards + ski provided free of charge by the resort . A twenty minute walk to Honymoon Beach is a must do . We took some drinks +knibbles and spent the best part of the day snorkeling + relaxing . Thanks Robert onsite manager . The location is great, too expensive for the room and service, meals most days were missing something due to ingredients not available. Hope its improved with the new manager

Un hôtel qui a eu de belles années mais aujourd’hui, en mars 2023, il semble à l’abandon et ce n’est pas l’effet covid, cela a déjà été mentionné il y a plus de 4 ans quand on lit les autres commentaires. Quand on arrive pour la toute première fois à coco beach hôtel, on doute que ce soit là. Aucune signalisation pour le savoir. On pousse une porte et on découvre une ancienne terrasse désaffectée, une piscine verte, une terrasse en bois cassée par endroit, aucun accueil. On a très envie de faire demi tour mais on se résigne et nous suivons le chemin qui nous emmène en bas près du bar-restaurant. En découvrant la plage et les petits bungalows, on se dit … pourquoi pas ! Ce resort se trouve au bout du bout, ce qui pourrait être sympa… Mais… vite coupé du monde en cas de problème. Nous avons vécu les 2 cyclones Judy et Kevin, des dégâts qui se sont ajoutés à la longue liste de travaux à faire. Durant ces événements météo, nous étions 3 couples seuls dans l’hôtel, à attendre … plus de personnel et un manager qui s’absentait pour aller chercher quelques choses à grignoter et de l’eau en ville… Puis il revenait en disant que c’était pire ailleurs… On ne savait quoi penser, plus de connexion avec le monde. On s’est sentis pris en otage. Il a pris d’énormes risques car il ne pouvait plus assurer la sécurité physique et sanitaire de ses clients. Il aura fallu deux de nos bungalows endommagés, de nombreux arbres tombés, une cuisine où toute la nourriture était à jeter… pour qu’il accepte enfin de nous emmener chercher un hôtel sécurisé. Robert nous a aidé soit, mais en nous disant au revoir, il a bien demandé notre mail pour envoyer la note 😳. Quelle maladresse de sa part dirai-je! Certes sur 6 jours, 2 ont été à la hauteur de la prestation mais 4 sans pouvoir honorer notre réservation avec petit dej inclus, mais surtout, surtout, notre sécurité. Il aurait dû nous reloger en ville. Même dans un séjour normal, c’est à dire avec une belle météo, les menus du midi sont réduis à un choix entre 4 hamburgers, une salade de choux et poulet. Pour le soir, 4 menus possibles avec un poisson du jour qui est en fait un poisson décongelé. Il faut savoir qu’en allant là-bas, la restauration est cher pour la qualité offerte. Quel dommage ! Cela aura été une sacrée expérience pour nous. Il leur faudra des mois de travaux pour remettre ce resort en état : les bungalows, les terrasses des restaurants, la piscine, les toitures, sans oublier… une amélioration de la carte, avant de pouvoir relancer ce petit resort et rendre le séjour agréable. Tous mes vœux les accompagnent ! Had such a magical stay at this resort. It is small and private … exactly what I wanted. Pristine private beach. Could take just a few steps from our Fare and we were right on the beach. Recommend booking one of the beach front ones for the Aircon! The manager, Rob, was lovely and very accommodating. Very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

I’ve just been reading some other reviews before I began and I’m struggling to understand some of the negative comments. Coco Beach was on our short list because it very clearly advertises as Adults Only. Travelling in off season meant the resort was at low capacity which was incredibly peaceful for those of us there to unwind and relax which is precisely what we were able to do over 7 glorious days. This is an older style resort and based on our research - exactly what we expected. No organised activities, No Day Spa, No noise, Nothing nearby except another beach. Fresh simple food done well. Cold drinks and unassuming hosts who will do what they can to assist you - when you are polite. Fresh, clean bures with old style coral walls in the bathrooms. We chose a room with air-con due to the time of year. Rooms are serviced daily. Beds are comfy and linen is fresh and crisp although some pillows could do with an update. Our days were spent between the open air waterfront restaurant, which could do with some fans, loungers under a tree on the beach, the pool and the sea. Entire grounds are immaculate beautiful tropical gardens and swept daily. Incredible swimming at all tides due to a canal through the reef to allow boat access and plentiful sea life on and around the reef when snorkelling. We took our own gear because it was to be a main activity of our holiday and this wasn’t our first island trip. You never get decent gear in resorts. We took the water taxi to town one day and the trip on the bay was a little tour in itself. Even detoured to ferry some local school kids across the inlet on the way home. Another day we arranged a local bus driver to take us to Blue Lagoon (where we also snorkelled) and returned via 83 Islands Rum Distillery before lunch in town with our driver at his favourite ramen noodle joint. Picked up some snacks and drinks at the supermarket and that was us. Every FAQ in TA forums will tell you to do this. Back to the resort for the rest of our stay. It has been my experience that it is rare anywhere in the South Pacific Islands to stay at a unique small, peaceful resort that your entire stay will go off without a hitch. Nothing drastic happened and any glitches were dealt with smoothly and effectively. Remember that you are on Island Time and there is absolutely nothing you can or should want to do about it if your hosts are taking care of you. Go with what you DO have not complain about what you don’t. No-one should choose a place like this if they want to be amused. Chill out, relax and enjoy the magnificent sunsets. Or get up early just to sit on the dock and watch a cruise ship come in. Coco Beach truly allowed us to switch off, wind down and re-connect. Thanks to H and the team for your hospitality. Coco beach was the friendliest resort. The view was amazing the food was excellent. The pool and ocean were Devine. It was secluded and a place to switch off completely . The manager and staff were very obliging and very friendly. Harim was very helpful and an interesting character . Had a lovely time there.
