Location was good for what we were looking for and the price was fair. Room ended up being perfect for what I wanted. However our room was not ready for a 3pm check in. Which in turn made us late for the Heritage classic game. We missed the first 10 minutes of the 1st period because we were waiting to get into our room. Our room was ready at 4pm and by the time our ride showed up and we got to commonwealth we were late!!! I had called in the morning and asked for an early check in, which we were told no because it was busy, totally understandable. So I asked if our room would at least be ready for the 3pm check in, as it was also confirmed on my reservation. I was told it for sure would be(it was not). I was offered a downgraded room from the suite(family room) I booked, but with NO partial refund on the price difference because I booked with *******. I asked for a credit if I took the downgrade, which I was told “unfortunately we can’t do that”. I declined the downgrade. I totally get that it was a busy weekend. However when my reservation says 3pm check in and I confirm that with you in the morning, I don’t think it’s very fair that we missed part of the game we spent a lot of money to go to. That game was the entire reason we were in town!!
