We were attending my wife's 50th college reunion and spent three nights in the Daniel Stebbins House. The excellently restored and maintained house, originally built in 1795, is "the perfect B&B" experience. Large comfortable immaculate rooms, excellent beds, on-site parking, a fully stocked kitchen and an intelligent on-site owner couple provided a delightful experience. The small New England town of South Hadley is home to Mt. Holyoke College, oldest of the original Seven Sister colleges that mirrored the original predominately male Ivy League. The B&B is within very close walking distance to both the charming unspoiled walkable town and college. It's also just fifteen minutes south of Amherst College and I-95, into the Green Mountains of Vermont.

A wonderful home away from home! The hosts are wonderful, the place is really special, a true historic mansion, each room has its own character. Breakfast is great. My only regret is that we stayed only one night! As a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, I also valued the special connection to the College. Definitely recommend this wonderful cozy historic inn.

Well-maintained historic house in a post card town. The hosts are a pleasure. The beds pretty much guarantee a good night's sleep. Breakfast includes homemade goodies and healthy options. For us, this was a rejuvenating stop on a whirlwind college tour.

Had a lovely three night stay at Daniel Stebbins. Ruth and Richard were the perfect, charming and welcoming hosts. We enjoyed the different selections of fresh produce for breakfast each morning, in particular Ruth’s home baking. Teas and coffees were available all day too. We stayed in the Daniel Stebbins room which was lovely, having a very comfortable four poster bed and powerful shower. It’s only a few minutes walk from the shops and nearby eateries, as well as Mount Holyoke college. It served as a perfect base for exploring the local area over our three days, and Richard was very helpful with recommendations. Would highly recommend and hope to return when back in New England

A wonderful find! This is a lovely old house, beautifully renovated, and conveniently located within walking distance of the Mt. Holyoke campus, restaurants, bookstore, etc. It was very comfortable, and everything we could have needed was provided. Breakfast was great (especially the croissants). And the people (Ruth & Richard) who run it are not only delightful but knowledgeable. We had an excellent dinner at a restaurant they recommended (Johnny's Bar & Grill). Hope to return.
