迪恩飯店(The Dean Hotel)

The hotel is in a great location to walk to fun shops and great food establishments. We took advantage of the pop up restaurant in the hotel- Thick Neck- it was excellent! We also had a fabulous time at the Boom Box in our private karaoke room. The hotel lobby is super charming and the rooms are small but funky and feel like an artsy vintage NYC hotel. The elevator is OLD SCHOOL and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Our room was chilly- our heat didn't work at all, but we were fine and the comfy bedding kept us warm. Warning- the parking lot adjacent to the hotel is in no way affiliated and doesn't offer any discount to guests so you are paying alot for convenience. $38 for 24 hrs. There are other garages that charge $25. that are only a block away. I would stay again, but maybe park elsewhere.

Property location is great and the on-site speakeasy and karaoke bar were very cool! Parking is a little pricey, but it's extremely convenient. Hotel room itself was very average considering the price (paid ~$200). The shower does not have a door, which is a trendy look, but very impractical - the entire bathroom was covered in water after a 5 minute shower. The rooms also do not have full-length mirrors. Our room had a strong smell of sewage when we checked in. I would recommend this hotel for under or around $150 a night.

The hotel is a well renovated, charming old building and our room was well appointed. The old “lift” was preserved but it is very inconvenient to open and close while carrying luggage. I imagine a newer elevator could replace the old one and still preserve the charm. Also the red lighting in the hallways is quite inconvenient. It really does not add anything to the ambiance of the hotel. Soft lighting would make it easier getting around the hallways to get to one’s room. The personnel was attentive and helpful.

The greeter was really nice. She had above average social skiills. It seemed she was treated unfairly being molded into something that wasn't true to her character. The shower was challenging to get comfortable water. The water was burning hot or very cold. It seemed it could benefit from maintenance, but it didn't really work until fidgeting. It made me feel bad because they have poster displays of saving water, but the faucet didn't work correctly. I thought it should have been fixed in room 203. I really liked the red lighting in the halls, and the safety of the building was nice. I felt they should have fixed the noisyness of the Air conditioner, but it just seemed like some people might like it.

Location here is perfect for walking anywhere in Providence, and street parking was easy. This hotel has a cool “vibe” for sure, but for the price point I expected a lot more. Coffee isn’t available until 7am, and it’s from a hip spot in the lobby, none provided for free. The king suite is just a large room, nothing suite about it. Bathroom is small and cramped, windows can’t be opened, the aircon is a home style unit. The bed and couch were both pretty uncomfortable. It’s more about look and style than comfort and function with this hotel, and that is fine. The lift is vintage and fun, but also small and cramped and if you’ve packed a lot or your a large person you won’t have a good time. Glad I tried this place, but if I’m back I’ll probably go with a more modern up to date spot for the amenities I’d expect at this price point.

We had an enjoyable time, and the staff were very friendly and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the room was not working and it was a warm night and the air in the room was very stifling. We brought it to the attention to the front desk at checkout.

I loved staying at the Dean, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to have an authentic and unique experience visiting Providence. It's classy, clean, and in a great location downtown.

2nd time staying, enjoyed it again and great location! Room had a broken AC which made it uncomfortable on a hot humid day.

Excellent location. Perhaps a little bit dark on the hallways. Pub located just at the hotel is super.
