CHEATS!! AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. If ever I’ve felt cheated staying at any hotel property then hands down it’s this one. I booked premium room with balcony for Rs 6500 per day. The room has no view and all I can see is a plastic covered sheet below which is their restaurant. Totally different from the photos on Agoda. By actual standards this hotel doesn’t even qualify for a star rating. I had clearly selected 2 adults and 1 child in my booking but to my surprise the reception person tells me that children over 6 years are adult. Forced me to pay Rs 2688 extra for 2 days. I asked them what extra service does the child get and the reply I got was complimentary breakfast. Told them I’ll pay for his breakfast separately but they wouldn’t listen. The hotel management is so cheap that they have kept a list of items in the room which if you damage, break or is lost you have to pay exorbitant prices. I am attaching a photo of the same. Thanks to the management for ruining the first day of my trip. Really disappointed with Google how this place has a 4 star rating on your portal.

We had a pleasant one-night stay at The Loft, a charming and comfortable hotel ideal for a short getaway. The location is quite convenient, situated just 3 kilometers from the bustling Police Bazaar and the serene Ward’s Lake. The hotel offers all the essential amenities for a cozy stay. Given the chilly weather, the staff thoughtfully provided us with an air blower and a hairdryer — always with a warm smile. Breakfast was included in our stay, and while the spread wasn’t extravagant, it featured a selection of simple yet satisfying options like Poori Bhaji, Bread-Toast, Idli Sambhar, Omelette, Tea, Coffee, and Juices. Among them, the Poori Bhaji stood out as the most delightful. With a price range of ₹3,000–₹4,000 per night and a prime location, The Loft offers excellent value for money. It’s a great choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. Additionally, parking is ample, making it a hassle-free stay for those arriving in their own vehicle. Definitely a recommended stay!

The stay was so perfect would come back to this hotel for sure thanks to the front office staff who was very help full I would like to mention receptionists for the very warm welcome. We will visit again.

It was by far the worst hospitality service I have ever received . The restaurant staff does not deserve to serve the guests as I feel he is mentally unstable and unfit to work in hospitality sector. The breakfast spread was just 2 items apart from bread and 2 varieties of fruits on which flies were sitting as it was uncovered (this is nothing in exchange of what they are charging from us). The staff did not give water to our kids when they asked for it and asked to take it ourselves. As there was nothing my kid could eat , I asked them a number of times to make something else on order for the kids he bluntly said 'NO' (I was even ready to pay for it but he was too rigid in his words.) When i asked for butter in the room he said we would charge for it. Post all this we registered a complaint in the feedback form against him and we we were sitting on the breakfast table, the staff misbehaved with us and even raised his voice , we were only discussing amongst us and he eavesdropped and started arguing and even said ' KYA KAREGA'. We asked to call the owner or the manager and he started shouting 'wo shaam ko aayega ' Despite everything the hotel management of the restaurant did not apologize to us , Inexplicable agony and harassment when we were on a holiday. This is the perception of Shillong we carried back ***** with us.

One single person at their restaurant (The one with specs) had spoiled our entire stay. It was very sad to see that on top of that the management is supporting their staffs, instead of apologizing. We had lodged a complaint at the Front Desk, we never spoke to him, it was he, who came to us and asked that why did we lodge a complaint that too in a very rude manner. I would suggest, you will find better property in this price.
