Homewood Suites by Hilton Hartford South-Glastonbury

We have been staying at this hotel regularly for years when we visit family and friends. It is in critical need of a refresh. Nice staff, great location but the condition is deteriorating. This has been our go to hotel for the last six years since we moved away. Next time we may book a less convenient hotel that is in better condition.

This was a disappointing experience. The only reason i did not demand another room was because we did not spend much time in the room but once we returned to rest for the night, we sprayed out the place with air freshener but within moments the fishy stinky scent was back, it was horrible. The beds appeared as though they had been spread by kids or learners, i felt disgusted to even lay in them. oh, and the lock on the door was defective, now i kind of wish i had requested another room, because the scent made it difficult for me to fall asleep. I would never return to this hotel. I did give my feedback when i checked out, she said, she was sorry.

I tried to check in on the app to use my phone as room key but app does not accept Travelocity confirmation number & could no find my reservation with my name

Staff was very friendly and greeted us every time. Breakfast options were more than I expected and delicious. A great place to stay for overnight or for few days.

I was grateful to be able to get into my room an hour early. My room was on the corner near one of the entrances and the doors were banging all night. Walls keep out no noise - heard everyone who walked by and what they were saying. There were hairs in the shower. Gross. Appreciated the extra pillows and the pool was still open!!! That was great. Breakfast was okay.

The hotel staff is very nice, but the conditions of our was very poor. The bathroom tub was rusted, the cabinets were old, all in all it felt very worn out.

Overall the hotel was a good pick. I would of expected the room to be cleaner. I thought the windows needed a good cleaning and the furniture fronts had previous peoples handprints on them. I traveled all through pandemic and have developed a heighten level of expectation when it comes to cleanliness. One of the pillowcases in the room appeared to be stained/dirty. This should of been caught by housekeeping. I traveled with my elderly parents and no ADA rooms were available, disappointing but should of contacted hotel directly prior to stay. I would stay at this location again overall was a good experience
