No Staff, No Sleep
This used to be a nice hotel but now the front desk is unstaffed. We arrived at night only to find no way into the room. Instead, I found the hotel phone number and learned that I had to fill out a web form, upload a selfie and a copy of my drivers license before they would send a door code. Terrible experience plus the door key pad did not work in the first several tries.
At 1AM, we were awoken by a tow truck delivering a guest car. This kind of stuff does not happen when a motel has an actual onsite manager. Cheap skate hotel owners need to disclose the lack of staff ahead of time so that we can avoid this type of hotel.

We had a one night stay here while traveling. It was a very nice surprise to see all the effort with the nice upgrades inside and outside. Clean, comfortable, safe, reasonably priced and within easy driving distance to Shasta City, downtown Dunsmuir and Castle Craig. The bed had soft, comfortable bedding and a great mattress. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
