里士滿公園飯店(Richmond Park Hotel)

Pros: clean, easy access to dining, convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff (except the manager) Cons: The bed was the worst ever with springs sticking out, very small rooms so no room for luggage, shower head was broken, dirty sticky cutlery in the room, no air conditioning.

The hotel has easy and ample parking free of charge. It is a bit of a trek round the hotel to your room, narrow corridors and up and down stairs, but not a big issue. My room was small, but nicely decorated with large bright windows. However, the curtains were insufficient and let a lot of light in meaning an early wake up from the sun. The bathroom was nice, but the fan wasn't running so it got a bit stuffy and the shower lacked pressure. Lovely tea and coffee is available and biscuits in the rooms. The restaurant was really good and I would recommend it for an evening meal. I didn't try the breakfast as it was over my work budget at £15. There are local supermarkets 15 mins walk away but on very steep hills!

The mattresses were all springs and nothing else. Not comfortable at all. The staff were extremely helpful from check in to breakfast service. If they address the mattress issue I would come back.

Window wouldn't stay open in middle of a heatwave, Only 1 mug in the room, requested an extra one at reception and was told it would be sorted but never was.

Net hotel met vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel ondanks dat we buiten ons om regelmatig het verblijf moesten verlengen. Er is altijd met ons meegedacht voor oplossingen, top!

Lovely stay. Breakfast and Coffee were very good! Staff was helpful and friendly even on an international holiday!

A stay of 2 halves. Food was amazing, breakfast and dinner were great, rooms reasonably comfortable, but because we had the dog with us we had to eat in the bar - not an issue at all usually. The bar was so loud and lairy though that it became really uncomfortable. Had to take the dog out as he couldn’t cope with it, and member of the party who wears a hearing aid also really struggled to interact as the background noise was all that she could hear. I don’t have an issue with the noise of a pub but this was extreme.

Good price for a comfortable room. Dinner menu was OK, not great. Cloth covered dining chairs were very marked and needed a clean.
