歐文斯汽車旅館

Stayed in October 2023. The room itself is good, they were repainting the building exterior so that was a little inconvenient but good they are doing real works. Rooms are very spacious like a decent apartment, all look recently re done, clean etc. The problem is the area itself is not especially nice, we had an instance of a vagrant looking type knocking on our door and asking for someone, informed the staff and it seemed like that wasn't the first time. The motel itself is fine, let down by being in a city that feels unsafe.

When we arrived we were told there was not a booking, did find one after about 1/2 hour. Unit was very tiny, very small bathroom with no access facilities which I had asked for. Was a cold night, no electric blanket but worst thing of all was no where to wash crockery and cups, no drinking glasses for water and on enquiring was told to wash dishes in the hand basin. How unhygenic and not a safe practice particully with covid etc. We were charged $130 the same price as all the other units which in my opinion should have been a lot less. We have always stayed at this motel in the past and have been very happy but will not be staying again. There was a black metal fruit stand on the tiny kitchen table that was dusty and very dirty and tbe electric jug leaked as well. In my opinion these premises need reviewing for cleanliness and adequate facilities

Entspannter Aufenthalt Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber. Das Appartment war relativ groß mit zwei Zimmern, Küche und Bad. Wir waren zufällig in der Einführungswoche zum neuen Semester an der Uni dort. Trotz umtriebiger Studienanfänger der nicht weit entfernen Uni war es ziemlich ruhig. Zum Zentrum sind es ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg.
