trip was very good Service staff in. The restaurant need more training and made mistakes often

This was a stop-off on the way back from Gleneagles, to complete our luxury trip. The food portions were pitiful, and apart from a few staff, there was a pretentious demeanor. Whether this was because of it's reputation or they don't need the custom, we certainly won't be back. Having visited luxury venues globally, this place needs to up it's game.

Had a delicious lunch to celebrate mum’s birthday. Staff were so welcoming, helpful & friendly. Food was delicious. We chose the Vietnamese soup, chicken liver parfait, rib eye & mini burgers. Every bite was so tasty. Nice touch of profiterole birthday plate. Mum had a ball, a real memory for her. Thank you.

We have been to Cromlix twice a year for afternoon tea for a few years. This has always been a special treat, excellent food in such a special environment. Unfortunately on this occasion we felt Cromlix has lost it's "luxury" ambience. No greeting once through the main door, we had to look for a member of staff in the restaurant to take us to our table. Teas are now in the restaurant, the library used to be much more refined. The savoury plate was put down with no description of the items. The cake stand followed and again no description. Tasty scones & cakes but all very stodgy. Nothing light or a bit different. Overall, we were disappointed. Cromlix you have been lovely but it is time to move on elsewhere for the luxury treat we look forward to.

Had the most amazing stay belated birthday!!! From arrival to checkout it was just fab. Had dinner on the terrace and the food was amazing with all the vegetables from the garden which where superb. Room with new decor was stunning (only critique pillows one wasnt enough 2 was too much). Breakfast was lovely we will definitely be back. Well done all the team for making our stay so enjoyable!!!

I found the Cromlix to be the most unfriendly, unwelcoming, lacking warmth and atmosphere. I must also stress, it is not child friendly. The staff were unaccommodating and made me aware that a buggy was not allowed at the restaurant. They advised we had to leave to buggy at the front of the hotel or they would store it. The buggy was stored in a cupboard and the baby could not have access to it to sleep. The buggy was cramed on to the cupboard with cleaning items such as a hover. We arrived early and on arrival we noticed the restaurant was empty and asked if we could be taken earlier. We were advised no. The restaurant lay empty from 12:30-2:30. We waited outside where it took over 1 hour for a member of staff to ask if we wanted a drink by this time the baby was hungry and we asked if we could sit inside. The service in the restaurant was appalling, we had to ask for water. EVERY table in the restaurant was served before our order was taken (while we were the first ones in). After 1 hour and 25 minutes we decided to leave. We informed staff that we were leaving and we were still met with unhelpful and rude staff. J would not recommend to anyone.
