OYO Lochway飯店(OYO Lochway Hotel)

I arrived early so I could get booked in from 2pm as it said on the website rooms would be available, to find the front door locked! I called the phone number on the website to find that no one answered so I left numerous messages to see what was happening and why the doors were still locked at 3 pm when it stated check in was from 2pm I waited an hour and still no sign of anyone coming to open the door. To the point where I booked another hotel close by as I couldn’t risk being a single female in an area I didn’t know without having a room!

Honestly awful isn’t the word , now we arrived at 2ish yo find the hotel was closed , no light on , tryed to call them and went straight onto answer machine , 40 mins later they arrived said are you staying here I said hmm no , the. Asked why no one was here , she wouldn’t answer , says do we want to look at room , I said yeh , room was stinking of Indian , said wasn’t clean , no bar and no restaurant, I said I’m calling booking .com as no one should need to go through this , getting refund

This was Faulty Towers Bollywood style. When we arrived the premises were locked, a woman who did not understand what we were there for appeared and called someone who showed up 20 minutes later, by this time 2 female European tourists had also arrived to book in. The 4 of us were taken to a side entrance and taken to a lobby area at the top of the stairs, after listening to a protracted speech about why the place was locked, we were given a set of keys to room 15, then 5 minutes later had them taken from us and were replace by room 10. We asked if the restaurant or bar were open and told no, this was despite the website and a large sign outside the hotel stating that they were. When we finally got into the room it was cold so we tried to get heat into the radiator to no avail, we then tried the wash hand basin and shower which also ran cold. My partner called the hotel phone number to report the issues with the heating and hot water, to be told that all the other rooms had heat and hot water. When she pointed out that ours didn't, she was met with a could not care less attitude, at that point we decided we were not staying a moment longer. There were one or two other less important problems, like there only being one saucer, one biscuit and stained bed linen.

What a place.is under new management and allegedly changed name which is not advertised only noticed on email.had to wait about 20 minutes to actually get into the room as there was no staff in the building(safety risk) Booked luxury king Size room got standard double room. With a stain on the wall behind headboard.no heating and no hot water.2 cups 1 saucer 1 biscuit despite 2 guests staying .top of bed cover had hairs on it and fly on towel.tv remote not working Made phone call to someone who never identified themselves and appeared not to be interested.demanded refund and left after 1 hour Nothing more than a complete shambles So give this one a miss

Its hard to find where the actual hotel parking The lights on the entry does not work. There is no host between 10pm and 2pm. So you better check in before 10 pm. No breakfast even if you offer to pay, if you dont book for breakfast , you , no breakfast you. The room door us so hard to lock. It took me 15 minutes to figure it out. Because there is no one in the front desk, no one help you. I almost went to sleep with the door unlock. There is a banging sound in the wall every 30 minutes, all night. In short i will never come back and do not recommend this hotel. Actually i urge people not to consider this

Turned up half an hour before opening at check in time 2.pm. Place was deserted, with for sale sign up . First thought it was a scam. But bang on 2pm lovely guy came to open up. Lovely stay, friendly staff , went out of there way to give us a double room instead of a twin room , which was booked by mistake . Full Scottish breakfast was fantastic and worth every penny for it . Would highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size and condition of the room. Thereasa, Reception and Barmaid, was extremely helpful and kind. In Room 10 I couldnt get a wifi signal and the TV reception wasnt good. Missed breakfast as I had an 8am start, but the Breakfast Menu selection looked good.

A bit tricky to get to in car if you are coming west from Glasgow. Had to do a couple of precarious manoeuvres to get on to the very busy eastbound carriageway of the A82. Plenty of free parking to rear of accommodation. Reception is at the bar of the pub. The lady that checked us in could not have been more welcoming and helpful, she was really lovely. She told us that they didn't serve food themselves, but gave us a whole load of takeaway menus, and told us to have food delivered, and we could eat in the pub and she would give us plates and cutlery. We did just that, and had a fabulous Indian takeaway, washed down with a few drinks from the bar. The room was basic but comfortable. Downsides, there was a bit of noise from the road outside, and it was also clear that somebody had recently been smoking in the room, which wasn't great. All in all though, we had a pleasant stay, and would recommend to others.

Great place to stay for overnight. Friendly personnel. Good breakfast. Spacious room. A bit noisy at the front due to the traffic. Otherwise recommended.
