桑德林度假村(Sanderling Resort Outer Banks)

Both my wife and I are in our 70’s (71&76). Not having ramps or an elevator made getting around fairly difficult for us. Also, the wooden exterior hand rails gave my wife slivers several times. I suggest either having painted metal rails or some kind of a TREX rail system. The rest of our experience was fine. J. Lindberg

This hotel is truly pet friendly. They welcome dogs on majority of the property with the expectation of pool and gym. However, they do charge you a 300 USD pet fee per stay per room. So if you are only staying for a night or two, it’s really pricey. For this fee, they provide you some convenience items for your pet…. So it’s a nice little souvenir to take home too. We came during the off season, some amenities are not open. Seems to be a nice place to vacation in the summer time with many activities.

Very nice place. Greeted with a hot coco bar. Kimball’s restaurant was good- only downer was when the heat came on sounded like the room next door was running a long shower all hours of the night in the building we were in

The property is in dire need of a facelift. It is not the Sanderling of yesteryear. The daily resort fee was so deceptive! Unbelievable! To think I actually contemplated having my daughter’s wedding there.

I wanted a resort with a spa and restaurant for a much-needed respite from work, and the Sanderling fit the bill exactly! I wish I had come a couple of weeks earlier as some things in the area were considered post-season and not available or were limited, but the trade-off was the peace and quiet. My room was comfortable and the staff were helpful- highly recommend!

Room had a broken screen on deck door, both bars were closed, cockroach on bedroom floor still alive, adult pool not heated.

The property overall is run down. The pool area was overgrown with long grass and weeds. It was clear that the property is not being kept up. Also, the onsite dining is limited, and the one restaurant on the property is ridiculously overpriced. Very disappointing, especially for the cost of staying at this resort. Don't think we will be back.

VERY expensive for a very mediocre room, noisy hvac, poor amenities (beach chairs / umbrella we self setup, no streaming services, and coffee was only available in one building…).

Excellent stay and great staff. The Lifesaving Station and front desk reception team made our time there even more delightful for our 30 year anniversary.
