We are big fans of the Royal Princess so here are some of the reasons why: The Royal Princess strikes the perfect note between modern and classic Croatian : Modern in its amenities and service, but still giving off welcoming, comfort vibes for which Croatia is known. The staff is excellent. From the front desk, to the restaurant service staff, to the airport shuttle drivers. Shout out to Ana who always has a smile, no matter the request and no matter how many times my American Express card gave her problems - she was successfull btw. (tip to travellers - AmEx is NOT accepted everywhere - less than 50% of the places where we needed too use a credit card took Amex - take Visa instead - plus Luka Modric suggests that you do :) ) Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well stocked - the sea view is more expensive, but 100% worth it if your budget allows. Balconies provide a great place to lay out on the loungers to enjoy the view, or like our neighbours, play cards around the patio table and enjoy plum brandy (sljiva) late into the night. Wifi is great throughout the resort. As part of the group of hotels you can choose to use various gyms and pools. The gym at the Princess is up to spec and the spa was always busy whenwe passed it. There are various indoor and outdoor pools; the star of the outdoor pools being along the rocky shore by the outdoor dining terrace, where you can jump into the sea or lounge alongside the salt water pool. Come early to claim your lounger - beach towels provided of course. If you have small children there are options of indoor pools and smaller pools that are not so close to the sea. Breakfast can be included in your stay and it's well worth it if you want to get the most out of your day's site seeing / excursions. Breakfast buffet includes a quality assortment of food and drinks as you would expect from this caliber hotel from prosecco mimosas to cappuccinos to bacon and eggs, fresh breads, fish & meats and various fruits. You can also order a la carte if buffet is not your style. The same area is used for the dinner buffet and this can also be included with your stay. Makes it easier for some, especially families with hungry kids who want a variety of options and can't wait for their orders to be taken. Again there is also a dinner menu a la carte/wine list etc if buffet isn't your thing and Restaurant Zoe as well. The dining locations are either in the hotel or at the common terrace dining room with it's beautiful sunset view. The beach bar is open til late at night with people enjoying the lounging sofas with cocktails and finger foods. . The service staff at the restaurants speak english so it was very helpful for our travelling companions. Back to the front desk: they do their best to provide you with anything you need including excursion information, boat charters, airport shuttles, restaurant reservations, room changes for the seaside view lol etc. Once again - amazing and 5 star
