We recently booked a one-night stay at the Mövenpick Al Mamzar in Dubai for a layover. Listed as a five-star hotel, our experience fell far short of expectations.
Major Letdowns:
Dated and Unkempt: The apartments felt more like old, tired rentals than a luxurious hotel. Worn furniture and a single functioning bath towel for three guests were immediate red flags.
Understaffed: Encountering only one receptionist and a frequently unavailable bellboy created a frustrating lack of service.
Uncomfortable Sleep: Despite booking for three, the provided room only had a king bed. A makeshift bed for our son offered a less-than-ideal sleep experience.
Stale Atmosphere: An overall musty smell pervaded the apartment, further diminishing the appeal.
Breakfast Below Par:
Limited Choices: The breakfast spread consisted mainly of vegetables, some fruit, a single cheese option, and low-quality bread for toasting. Flies hovering near the food added another layer of unpleasantness.
Inattentive Staff: A lone attendant seemed indifferent to providing basic service during breakfast.
Positive Aspects (Difficult to Find, But Here They Are):
While the overall experience was disappointing, there might be a few redeeming qualities for some travellers:
Location: Depending on your travel plans, the location might be convenient.

We strongly advise against staying at the Mövenpick Al Mamzar. There are numerous other hotels in Dubai that can offer a genuine five-star experience for a similar price point. Consider exploring alternative options before booking here.

Случайно забронировал этот отель вместо такого же на Марине. И за 90к рублей получил очень плохую пятерку, ремонт старый, все разваливается, плохая локация, очень скудные завтраки, моргала лампочка в номере, с ванной не уходила вода, при уборке забрали грязное полотенце и новое не принесли. Не рекомендую

High EQ staff, genuine Kindness here, Sabina at reception, Nancy at security. Observed over my stay that they are very nice with all guests. Especially wheelchair guests.
The Hotel is located at the edge of Dubai North, its the closest 5 star hotel to Almamzar beach ⛱️

Good customer service especially from Sabina who has been fantastic. Washing machines in the room is good.
Cleaning staff are friendly and polite.
All the staff are very friendly, rooms need some updating and some deep cleaning.

Номер брали на сутки улучшенный, два взрослых и ребенок (7лет), заплатила 19.800₽. Приехали на соревнования нужно было мест рядом со спорткомплексом… По итогу в номере нет ни зубных щеток, ни полотенец, кофемашина сломала, чайник течёт так, что не возможно его включить… когда пришли с репетиции посреди ночи, пришлось идти проносить полотенца, в итоге принесли всего два на троих…про полотенца для рук и ног молчу, из не было вообще… Еда отвратильная, что на обед, что на ужин, есть нечего…
Не советую этот отель, не стоит он этих денег вообще! Отдать почти 20тысяч за сутки и получить только негатив…
