We had a wonderful 3 days at the Rosemont Inn. The owners were very nice and helpful answering all our questions. Our room was so quaint. Breakfast each day was so delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful experience! Our room and the entire Inn was clean and pleasant. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Plenty of comfy places to relax. The pool was warm and inviting. Nice to be so close to the beach and enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was excellent! Plenty of choices for this vegetarian. The lemon poppy seed bread and peach muffins were our favorites. The resident cats, David and Fuzzy were social and sweet. The staff and guests were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will consider visiting again.

We stayed in room 7 which is wheelchair accessible. The inn itself is ADA accessible from the back parking area. Our Queen sized bed was at standard height, not the popular elevated height. The beautiful garden vegetation was recently pruned back, revealing a gorgeous koi pond and a few private seating areas.

We had our 15th stay at Rosemont Inn this August. Obviously, we love the place, and often come with family. The owners Kerry and Tammy are very fine people, prepare a gourmet breakfast with lot's of extras, and keep the resort very clean and smoothly functioning. The pool is warm and pleasant. The location is excellent--just across from the Douglas Beach. Driving anywhere is easy, short, and most pleasant--lot's of woods, gardens, etc. We see deer everyday, sometimes from the back yard. The locals are not deer fans, since the deer can eat bushes, flowers, etc--but to visitors, they're a special treat. One day we saw 21 deer. Also, the grey squirrels have a melanotic subset ( black all over), and we see them daily. The whole area of Douglas and Saugatuck are excellent. Many good restaurants, quaint shops, people-watching, art galleries; and the river is busy with private boats. Also, there are some nearby good hiking trails, up in the dunes, and also along Lakeshore Drive, from the front yard of the Inn. The location is about 5+ hours from central Illinois, so is much more convenient than the also-beautiful areas far north of Saugatuck. We'll certainly be back next year, health allowing. Try it--you won't be disappointed.

My family recently stayed at the Rosemont Inn. This recent experience was very disappointing. The proprietor, Kerry, was not very pleasant. He did not interact with guests in a welcoming fashion and actually very rude to us regarding the hot tub policy. His demeanor, throughout our stay, made us feel uncomfortable, in an otherwise lovely, historic inn. Other issues were, quality of breakfast when compared to the price per night, was below our expectations; and sadly, the Inn is no longer pet friendly.

Great location in area of private vacation homes and across from small public beach. Rooms are small but with nice features and now entry is by code, so don't have to carry key or card. Well-maintained common spaces, indoors and outdoors, including pool and Asian-type garden. Somewhat put off by host telling us (and every other guest) at check-in that "breakfast is between 8:30 and 9:30 and if you come at 9:29 the selection may not be great," or a pointed sentence to that effect. As it turned out, the buffet breakfast was well-stocked & selection was not a problem, but I don't think current owners are morning people.
