"Hotel has a good location but front desk staff was slow for request. My hotel room was never cleaned the two days I stayed and the front desk was clueless as to why. They were short on towels for my family and at one point wanted to charge 50.00 extra dollars for an hour extended stay or late check out. I’ve never been charged for a late check out. I wouldn’t recommend this place other than the location."

"A Southern Gem of Charm! From the moment I walked through the door, this boutique hotel exuded Southern charm. The atmosphere has a nice balance between elegant and welcoming — thoughtfully designed spaces, warm lighting, and architectural details that make it feel more like a beautifully curated boutique hotel. The staff graciously provided me a tour. It was amazing! The rooms are quaint and cozy without sacrificing comfort. Every touch felt intentional, the spaces feel warm and homey rather than sterile. And then there's the restaurant — 1906 Brasserie - genuinely one of the best hotel dining experiences I've had - and I have dined at many restaurants. The menu was creative, while still offering sophisticated Southern selections. My selection, short rib & collard melt ($19) from the lunch menu. Great for a dining visit even if you were not staying overnight. This is the kind of place that reminds you boutique hotels can offer something the big chains simply can't: character, warmth, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stay that feels personal rather than generic."
