We were lucky to have a family room which was quite spacious and the bed was comfy. The room was situated to the rear of the hotel so we didn't hear any noise from the bar. Narrow staircase up to rooms with awkward doors especially when trying to get a suitcase to the room. No help offered from staff. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. The info folders in the room are at least 5 years out of date. Breakfast was ok but not a lot of choice. It felt like a pub with rooms, with the emphasis on the pub rather than the accommodation. Rooms very expensive for an average hotel. It was ok for 1 night but wouldn't stay again.

An overnight stay on a road trip. Perfectly placed to explore what the lovely town of Dornoch has to offer. Very pleased with the friendly welcome at reception and a spacious and very comfortable room. We ate in the bar that evening and found the menu offered a variety of good value options. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We were lucky to be able to have a couple of late afternoon drinks in the sun . Breakfast was hearty and well presented. Overall a very good experience and excellent value for money.
