We stayed here as a family and found the location to be beautiful. Lovely staff at reception and around the cabins. There is no wifi unless you are near reception/restaurant. They have some board games (twister!) and DVDs available to borrow but not much variety for small children so recommend bringing some DVDs along if you have small children. There are two swimming holes that make you feel very al naturale and immersed in the rainforest. The pool is not heated and was freezing during July so we found it better to hop in the crispy creek. Please be mindful that the cabins are airy and open with vents and as such there is little to no sound proofing. You can hear the nature and the neighbours, it is pretty relaxed though so there's no one keeping you up with parties. 4 stars because the breakfast provided at On The Turps could be better, especially considering the exxy spread they serve at lunch and dinner. Bread, condiments, tea, coffee, juice, fruit, and cereal. Tasty bread though. At any place you stay in the daintree you want to be prepared as there's not much around. There is a great little servo/minimart down the road with food etc. There is no kitchenette at the heritage lodge and buying out can be expensive and the few places around are mostly 12 - 2 for lunch which could spell trouble for hungry families who miss the lunch cut off. Get snacks and plan your meals. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at heritage lodge in the daintree. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.
