Booked at the last minute when our ferry back to Jersey was cancelled. We caught the number 10 bus from St Malo which only costs 2.50 euros for the trip ( sorry not really relevant but thought might be of use to some). Mercure is a lovely location right in front of the river. The receptionist was very nice and we were able to store our bags until check in. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. I approve of the Nuxe body wash but would have liked it even more if they had provided body lotion. Kettle is provided with some cardboard cups and teas and coffees. Free cold water available on each floor. The outdoor heated pool was not terribly warm when I used it in the afternoon, but nice to have it available along with the jacuzzi. The gym is some cardio equipment only. I thought the pool was closed when I arrived in the morning at 9, but apparently I should have asked to have it opened. We didn’t have breakfast as 19 euros per person seemed quite steep. Lovely hotel in a beautiful town and I’d gladly come back.

Staying at “la port Saint Malo” was a wonderful experience! We spent three nights in this wonderfully clean, intimate, friendly and helpful hotel! The owners: a young couple, Kevin and Roxana, are a hard working and beautifully positive and helpful. We called in a day before our reservation and added a day, arriving two hours later to a sweet welcome and a quick recommendation for a local restaurant- that Kevin was quick to book for us. They helped us find parking nearby the hotel. And the short walk to the old city was magic. We stayed in two different rooms (due to the sudden change in plans and late reservation), and both were beautifully renovated, while respecting the original architecture. Our double room with a balcony had a wonderful big shower. The breakfast was rich and varied, with lots of fresh local products. Dinan was a joy to be in and the hotel was a highlight!

This golf course and hotel with an excellent restaurant is just outside St Malo. The room was very comfortable, the golf course was a fantastic challenge (particularly the 16th on the 18 hole course) and the food in the restaurant was first class, whether breakfast, lunch or evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and service of a high standard. The golf course was in very good condition and not busy. We had a pick of tee times though having booked in advance we didn’t change them. The whole booking process was seamless, conducted via email in English and most of the staff had some English (probably more than my comparable French!!). We played 3 rounds of golf over 3 days and really enjoyed our stay. We will book again and return for the golf and the food. A fabulous setting for the course.
